The light in the darkness once so bright,
Played on my thoughts with its joyful praise,
It was all I could see, all of my sight,
It was perfect bliss for all of my days,

Then came the storm, the storm of rain,
Extinguishing the light from my life,
Filling it with misery and with pain,
This is a tale of my endless strife,

The shouting, the fear, the worry and regret,
That’s what flowed through my body,
It coursed through my veins not letting me forget,
That the wind and the rain had set in properly,

The beating of the rain drowned out the cry’s,
The rhythm of the heart refused to go on,
The sounds in my head where what I despised,
Darkness had found where the light once shone.
