![]() Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. Hello out there in the world. I'm a writer who just got back into writing fanfiction, and unfortunately I am not all that good. I'm not as committed as I'd like to be, and my updates are few and quite far between. I enjoy people's comments on my writing, as it is the only way to get better in my opinion. I suffer from what my English Professor calls "bastard children of the mind" which is her way of putting it when you intend to write something and it turns out to be way different, but much better than what you had meant it to be. Two examples of this can be found in "Till Tonight..." and "I Sing The Blues...". Speaking of which: Two of my stories are named by lines from one Fall Out Boy song, Hum Hallelujah. I'm not exactly sure why, but the titles seemed fitting to me at the time of the writing of the story. I figured I'd explain. The song, while it has no official meaning, is said to be about both teenaged pregnancy and/or a suicide attempt. As my stories are generally angsty dark stuff, it seemed... like I said before, fitting. My newest ficlet is another bastard child of my mind. It's a look into the Potter Family Post Deathly Hallows. As it turns out, four years after the epilogue, all isn't well. All is actually pretty awful. The title is shared with a poem by Stevie Smith which I adore. The poem is about how no one can ever really know you in life, and how you can never really explain to somebody how to know you. Again... fitting. As a bit of a disclaimer, I'd like to share that I base some of the events of my fics off of personal experience. Some of this may be hard to read, as not all the issues I write about are sealed and set for me as a person. So, if something seems emotionally painful, yet entirely unrefined... Chalk it up to me, okay? Also: I love music. I like my characters to love music, and I will often indirectly reference a song or something. So, review if you hate it. Review if you love it. Review if you see a mistake. Review if you just feel the need. I happen to love feedback, so, please, just review. |
