Author has written 1 story for K-ON!/けいおん!. [Date of update: July 15, 2010] (This is actually the new account of an old user, said old user's old account being Uber Spoonz. Due to a complete and total lack of inspiration to work with any of the stories found in the account Uber Spoonz, this account was created as a fresh start. Also, it was embarrassing to come back from a hiatus of, like, four years with a K-ON story when all of my previous works were epic semi-novels in the universes of Zelda and Golden Sun. You can find a number of completed works on my Uber Spoonz account, but none of them are very good since they're so old.) Basics Name: Suu Age: 19 Gender: Female Location: Central East Coast, USA Bio Hey hey, it's-a me! Suu's a nickname I got from the internet, but I prefer if people call me that. I'm gonna be a college sophomore in the Fall 2010 semester. Every day of my life I've got stories going on in my head, but I rarely put them to paper because I'm so anal about expressing the innate beauty of the written word... SEE I'M DOING IT ALREADY. D: So when I get to writing I'm really careful about it, and if it doesn't all come out perfectly at the first try then I just sit there drumming my fingers against the keys. On the internet, the only thing that belongs to you is your words, so it's important to phrase everything properly, right? EditingwhatiseditingIdon'tknowwhatyou'retalkingabout. In college I'm a graphic design major, and my one true passion is digital painting. I used to write fanfics at a dime a dozen, and you know what they say about getting what you pay for. As I got more into drawing, I stopped recording my ideas and started keeping them in my head where they could grow and evolve infinitely depending on what fandom I was into at the time. I also keep them in my head because so many of my ideas are OC-driven, and I'm well aware of how the general reading population feels about OCs... But I dunno, I've been really bored recently since my will to draw is ever ebbing and I feel like I had ought to be doing SOMETHING to keep myself productive, maybe I'll give it a try. If nothing else I'll be keeping myself entertained. Tastes In Reading: I'll read just about anything as long as its well-written. I'm a bit of a sadist so my favorite genres are angst and tragedy. I'm not a fan of baseless humor, and I'm not too terribly interested in sci-fi. I have a bad habit of passing over stories that pair my favorite characters with OCs even though I've been guilty of the same in the past. I also have what I consider a good habit of passing over stories that make no effort to offer a proper summary or have a summary that A) is riddled with misspelled words or B) gives the impression of a self-insert or Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu character. I absolutely adore crazy pairings that make no sense in canon but are substantiated and justified in good writing. In writing: I'm a huge fan of video games, so I tend to author epic adventure-type stories. I'm absolutely wretched with realistic fiction and romance. I usually end up researching point after minute point to make sure I'm as accurate as possible because I'm just that anal. I'm really bad with long exchanges of dialogue, such as explanations, and try to avoid them like the plague. Usually in futility. ;o; I do, however, enjoy a good action scene, and I try really hard to balance the two within each chapter, but sometimes it's just not possible. Sometimes there's so much splainin' to do that there's no room for action. And SOMETIMES. Sometimes there's a BOSS FIGHT. Man I love when there's a boss fight. In both: Yuri and yaoi. I don't go there. I'm a firm believer in keeping characters true to themselves, so unless they're gay in the anime/manga/game, I don't particularly want to see them gay anywhere else. That's not to say I'm homophobic or whatever. I watched Gravitation. I read the entire Gravitation manga when I was dissatisfied by the end of the anime. I have a pair of OCs that are a gay couple (Isan and Julian, though you won't see either of them in any of my stories). I have friends who draw yaoi and yuri and it's gorgeous. I also have friends who draw het and it's gorgeous. I also also have friends who ARE yaoi and yuri, and more power to them. It just bugs me to no end when a writer takes a character and twists them around, sexual orientation and all, for their own satisfaction. It's like mentally slashing your two guy friends even though they're both interested in girls. It's sick, and if they ever found out they would be soooo disturbed. o_o Fandoms I have a list of every anime I've ever watched from beginning to end including all seasons and OVAs. This list is 58 items long. Then there's my manga list and video game list, which are much shorter but still nothing to shake a stick at. (That is to say, I haven't made them yet.) I would consider reading fanfictions for each and every one of them, if they were linked to me by a friend who was recommending it. That said, here are the only fandoms that I, from time to time, will ever actively seek fanfiction for: .hack//GU Let it be known that I only very rarely go on a fanfic hunt, and it takes an extremely good premise to make me click on said story, let alone actually read the first chapter, and then the second chapter, and then keep reading as it updates. I'm really, really picky. Stories in the Works Title: Bloom Summary: Inspired by Sparanda's K-ON fic about Roy Page, the son of the owner of a chain of music stores and a talented guitarist, who moves to Japan and joins Sakuragaoka's light music club. With Sparanda's blessing I've decided to take my own male OC and inject him into the K-ON world. The name is Mana Satou, an extremely shy and reserved kid who finds his confidence in music. The plot is mostly character-driven rather than action-driven (meaning, instead of events and objectives pushing the story forward, the plot will be based around the development of the characters), so it's kind of a coming-of-age story written in a school-life setting. I won't reveal too much about it here because I find Mana an extremely interesting character and I'd prefer if you get to know him through the writing itself rather than through my senseless babbling here. Mana Satou's physical appearance: Click here for the picture Mana Satou's instrument: Click here for the picture Mana with his instrument: Click here for the picture Mana... um... well... yeah: Click here for the picture La la la, anything else you want to know? I can't imagine there is. You people just aren't that curious, I find. Well if ever you have anything of a question, send me a PM and I'll answer... Until about mid-August, I'll be extremely not-busy. And then I'll be SO BUSY YOU CANNOT EVEN BELIEVE. |
