Denmark jerked away from Spain and stared at him with a deer in the headlights type gaze. "Are-Are-Are you next? Are you the next one to-to" Denmark buried his head in his hands and broke down sobbing. "No." Spain said firmly, "You're an independent Nation now, it's all over and Germany will never rise to power again, I promise, and if he does then I will personally beat him black and blue." Spain wrapped his arms around his Northern friend again and sighed. "Everything's going to change now." Denmark looked up at his Southern friend with still watering eyes, "You promise?" he asked, sniffling slightly. Spain bent close to Denmark until their lips were a breath apart, "Yes," he breathed against Denmark's mouth before kissing the other softly.
