My Recommendation List: -Black Butler [I don't even need to say anything else about this.] -Shakugan no shana [I only watched the first and second season, but the animation itself was really cool. -Nurarihyon no mago [I've only seen the first season, but it's quite good if you like ghosts and myth mixed with comedy.] -Totally captivated [If you're a yaoi fan and haven't read it yet then...GO READ IT NOW! Art is nice, plot is nice, characters are gorgeous-- what more could one ask for?] -Junjou Romantica [My first Yaoi, and I still, to this day, don't find flaws with any thing. Comedic and fluffy but also serious in a "belonging" way.] -Gingaku Hakase to Marmot [futuristic, Boss/assistant theme, science related? Hallelujah!] -Taiyou no kikoushi [A classic foreigner/native and a slight prince/commoner trope like feel to it. It's a nice manga with gorgeous art.] -Denkou sekka Boys [Can someone else please adopt this manga and finish it properly?..] -Asakiyumemishi [I have mixed feelings about this version of Genji, I hate him and I want to smack his pretty face but I also wanna tackle him to death, I cannot make up my mind. Good art though.] -Ai no kusabi [I don't usually lean towards Sci-fi, futuristic themes. I usually prefer them in manga form. But this was gorgeous enough to keep me interested for a long time. Iason is probably the best anti-hero for me, even Xuan Yuan Jing from HHYL can't compare. I recommend the original movie.] -Yami no matsuei [Slight gothic elements and major psychology theme with implied rape. Murder, mystery. Interesting set of characters that have depth. Plus, Muraki x Tsuzuki forever!] -Michiru heya [Homophobia, suicide, attempted rape and revenge. Oh yeah, and nurses are major BITCHES.] -Viewfinder series or You're my loveprize in viewfinder [The amount of rape - by hot guys - and kidnapping in this is slightly alarming.] -Twilight of the dark master [It's a fantasy piece with slight psychological elements to it. And, that's it, Tsuna"mi Shijo is my BS for all my eternity.] -Zetsuai/Bronze/Cathexis [and whatever else you name, drama cd, OVA, light novel...I've read, heard and seen everything. It's sooo good, soooo, soooo good that it's not even funny anymore. I particularly love the song 'crime of passion' from Cathexis, it's freaking gorgeous!! - and a hidden fantasy come true - I'm still wondering who the seiyuu is though.] -110 Ban wa Uketsukemasen! [Fluffy take on the classic senior/junior romance...GENIUS!] -Crimson Spell [I love Ayano Yamane, I love fantasy, I love Erotica. Need I say more?] -Berserk [Medieval fantasy with extra fucking gore and Ho Yao. YASS. Griffith x Guts is my obsession.] -Death Note [Light...please marry me...! *few episodes later* I changed my mind... DON'T marry me! What is my life tell me people.] -Innocent by Sakamoto Shinichi [gore, rape, incest, prostitution...I don't know WHY the heck I like this. Oh yeah, 'cause I'm an art slut.] -Tasogare wa Karera no Jikan [Nice twist on the classic Incubus myth, VERY GOOD!] -Joushi tono Hitoban [Classic Boss/Employee setting -- or is it Senpai/kohai? Nothing too big, nice and sweet - fluffy plot filled with the right amount of comedy. Impressive art, definitely the kind of manga I can read over and over and still not get tired of it.] -Ai ga Kami wa Korosu toki [Nice art. Brooding plot with the right amount of fluff, and drama. But it gets a bit complicated and hard to understand at times.] -LSD [Nice art and plot, but the panels are sort of hard to understand at the initial chapters. The characters got on my nerves sometimes - I'm saying that as a good thing - dark plot filled with incest, violence and prostitution. But way too small character development. I guess that's what I should expect when I read an unfinished manga.] -Roumantei no Juunin [Normally I don't even give a second glance to red-light district themes, but this one was entertaining enough to keep me obsessed with it. Though there are some mild violence, I would recommend it to those who favour themes of prostitution, unlike myself.] -August 15th [ I still cackle at the irony that, the uncle-nephew incest relationship which I absolutely despised in "Hua Hua You Long" (the novel version) is the same relation I absolutely adore in this manga. You'll get what I'm saying if you've read both of these. I believe this is another work of the artist of some other manga, Feng Yu Jiu Tian? Am I even saying the right name?] -Hi Izuru Tokoro no Tenshi [This... I don't even know how to describe this Manga's greatness. The art may come off as bland to some, but I think the dark, slightly comedic and dramatic plot needs no shining foil to back it up. And also, if someone doesn't finish translating this shit soon enough... I'm afraid I just *might* go crazy.] -Asterisk [Good fucking plot. Not a big fan of the art though.] -Orenchi no Furo Jijou [Nice and comedic, entertaining enough to pass the time with. But I don't endorse expecting a solid plot.] -Aoi Bungaku [Art style? GORGEOUS! Plot? fantastic! Voice acting? Out of this world! Very nice if you like psychological anime, apparently these are adaptions of different novels written by different authors, which I think is pretty nice.] -Let Dai [I know, the title of this is kinda ...strange? But I'd say this book is a total gorgeous read. It has good melodrama, psychology, romance (duh) and the perfect way to summarize complex relationships. One thing that made this manga my not-so favourite, is how much the author focuses on the side characters, whilst almost casting away the main characters, I would've liked it more if I got to see more of the protagonists. But its exusable since the side characters have some kind of influence on the overall plot development. I'd be more pissed of they didn't.] And lots lots more hot, sexy, interesting or mind blowing Mangas and animes to come in the future! Have a Good Day! |
