Mulder is seriously wounded in a manhunt and now the suspected murderer holds Mulder hostage, threatening to kill him if he is not allowed to escape. Meanwhile, Scully is on the phone with Mulder and the suspect to try and bargain for Mulder's life, a life that is more lost by the second.
