"Well…" he starts slowly. Then, almost immediately, I can tell he's closer to me now. His breath tickling my lips. His warm scent washes over me, almost overwhelming me. "Making out seems to keep bad thoughts at bay…" he murmurs. Then I can suddenly see those sea green eyes, gazing at mine intently. I'm glad it's dark out or he would see my flushed cheeks.

District Thirteen has been obliterated by the Capitol, leaving Katniss and Finnick as the only survivors. They hide out in District Four until a familiar face appears at their doorstep, giving them an opportunity to forge new identities and infiltrate the Capitol to bring down the one man that has destroyed countless lives, including their own.

After the Quarter Quell, Katniss must face the hardest time period in her life. Fighting in the revolution, being the symbol of the rebellion, losing loved ones under the hand of the Capitol; she never would have expected to fall in love in the midst of it all. (Please review!)

AU. His contribution to the rebellion was supposed to secrets and slander. Haymitch decided taking on a wife would be more appropriate. She wanted to forget the Games ever happened. Then she's told of a fiance who'll never allow her to do so. And he isn't Peeta and she isn't Annie, and surely that means everything. Just maybe not quite in the way they'd thought.

Katniss has just won the 73rd Hunger Games. While doing so she looses the love of her life Peeta Mellark. She soon discovers that the games are not done even after you win. She soon begins to have her body sold. Then she meets Finnick Odair.

The Quarter Quell has ended, but Peeta couldn't make it. Katniss finds out that she did love Peeta, and gets depressed because she couldn't save him. She'll fall in love with someone else who has been helping her to cope with the death of one of the people she cared the most..

There is something sick about winning a game that either destroys your mind or body. If you lose, both your body and mind are lost. If you win, you lose your mind and sell your body. I used to think that the only winners were those who died quickly and painlessly in the arena. But that was before I found what I needed in the person I'd least expected; Finnick.

What if Peeta died in his games, Annie never went to the games and Finnick was 'just friends' with her. The Quarter Quell has arrived and each tribute has been forced into an unseverable partnership with someone from another district. Katniss is stuck with Finnick who she can't stand, will they learn to work together to take down the Capitol or will their differences interfere?

"My lovers pay me in secrets." Katniss Everdeen is the sole of the 73rd Hunger Games. What does President Snow have planned for her? And how does it involve Finnick Odair? Finnick/Katniss, later Gale/Madge and Jo/Haymitch. Rated M for smut in some chapters, and the nature of the story. Slight canon divergence, but it basically follows the Trilogy.
