As Brand and Cooper embark on establishing a human colony on Edmunds' planet, they have some issues to settle in their personal lives, as well.

Cooper has left the station on his way to find Amelia on Edmond's planet. In Amelia's eyes, Cooper will be like Lazarus: a ghost brought back to life. Cooper's arrival at the colony will revive the romantic relationship that was slowly starting to gain momentum towards the end of the movie.

Alternate ending. This time, Brand refuses to let Cooper fall by himself. She is trying to decide if she has feelings for a man she doesn't know very well while falling to what could be her death.
