Will that old friend be there to help? WARNING:depression/self harm and sexual content later in the story.

Many people, I included, felt very sad with the end of Allegiant. So I've decided to write an additional story about Tris&Tobias's life after Allegiant; having the outcome of the end be different, of course, and letting Tris live. This will hardly do justice to Veronica Roth's. This is for those who imagined what it would be like if things ended differently. Here's how I'd have it.

Tris is a colonel in the US military. She is a top notch fighter and has made her family with her fellow soldiers. Now, she is in charge of training the new recruits. She must make them top notch and the best soldiers they can be. See how Tris will take on her task and what she will have to do to make it happen. Rated T for some language.

Tobias' perspective from before "Divergent" through my "Determinant" alternate 3rd book, with lots of original scenes.

This story takes place right after Divergent (Book 1) ended. Tris reunites with members of Dauntless after three months alone scouting out Erudite bases for some much needed supplies. Her welcome by the Factionless is rocky at best but she is relieved to find some familiar faces among them when she arrives.

"Even now, I feel the electrical pull that every touch creates with her. And I know it's unique to her, something I'll never feel with anyone else. I pull away, knowing if I stay any longer I'll never have the strength to do this." Full-length alternate 3rd book with a completely original plot and a very satisfying ending. Works instead of "Allegiant" or after it.

Tris Prior was a broken person. She has to go live with her godmother Tori across the country after her family was killed. Will going to a new school and meeting new people change this broken Tris into a new person? This is my first attempt at a fanfic. All characters belong to Veronica Roth.
