I'm a high school girl living in the US (which is all you're getting about my location and age). As you can probably guess from the fact that I'm on this site, I love to read. As in completely, utterly, read-two-books-in-one-day adore reading. Don't get me wrong, I like doing other things too. I like listening to music (doesn't everyone?) and playing music (French horn, fiddle and mellophone are my big three. No one ever knows what a mellophone is though. It looks like an oversized trumpet, is better than the trumpet, is more mellow than a trumpet [get it? Mello-phone] is in the key of F, and is generally played in marching band instead of French horn [I mean, can you imagine marching with a French horn? That would be interesting. Better than doing it with a tuba, I suppose.] Marching band is where I play the mellophone). I also ski competitively (nordic, not downhill, although I would like to learn how to alpine ski. I suppose that also gives you more information about where I live too).

Thanks to some of my friends (one in particular) I have recently started watching anime as well. I've finished FullMetal Alchemist and am partway through a few others, including Inuyasha, Naruto and Angel Beats.

I am a massive Whovian and Sherlockian, in addition to being a Potterhead of the largest kind. Although I want to watch it, I have avoided Supernatural because I do not do well with creepy things (I do not consider weeping angels as being very scary on the scale of Doctor Who monsters. For me, the worst were the gas mask zombies. I did not sleep very much the night after I watched those episodes). I also really like Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (both the books and the movies), although I need to reread them.

In terms of genre, my favorite is fantasy. I like fiction much better than any sort of nonfiction or biography, and among my top genres (besides fantasy) are scifi and anything post apocalyptic.

There are a lot of books and series I could list off as liking, but there are too many to put much effort into doing that, so I'll just put a few.
