Hiya! I'm the White Doe, 21 years old and I've been obsessed with reading FF for as long as I can think, which probably doesn't say much anyway. Since I've only been reading FF all this time (and really, it HAS been 12 years, which is more than half of my existence) I finally thought 'why not try and write something of my own for a change'. So. Here I am, trying to get used to the feeling of being a newby in a world I'm actually so used to. Pretty strange feeling, I'm telling you. I should mention that you'll probably have to be a little patient with me, as it's gonna be weird being on 'the other side' this time, but I'll try my best and hopefully some of you will get what I'm talking about whenever I mention 'a spark of the feeling' I have when reading a good story. What else you probably gotta know about me is, I'm a HUGE fan of Harry/Draco. And when I say HUGE I mean gigantic, enormous, grand... - there I go with my obsession again. This pairing is about the only thing (with very few exceptions) I've enjoyed reading when it comes to Harry Potter. Of course, there are other pairings I like (but not with Harry or Draco paired with anyone else, mind you!), which would be: Ron/Hermione (these two are a perfect match, at least I like to think so) Snape/Lily (very cute and also very dramatic - great combination!) ...actually, I'm afraid that's about it. Others are mostly just side-pairings for me or just simply no-goes (I mean Harry/Voldemort? Really?!) Concerning LotR, Legolas/Aragorn is also a perfect shipping as I see it. Even though the base of their relationship mostly comes from friendship and not hate/rivalry (as it does wth Harry/Draco) it still has the tendency to be quite dramatic. I love that. So, you see, you have learned one or two things about me here. I am a hopeless (and, mostly, closet) romantic and I also tend to have a faible for dramas - hence, me-the-drama-queen. Also, I'm quite undecided about happy endings and non-happy endings, seeing as both can be brilliant if the story calls for it. Still I' m probably inclined towards happy endings and tying all loose ends together at the end of a story. But be warned, I might have a moment (or two) where my head runs in a totally different direction with me and my typing. And, of course, the genre. I'm still quite undecided about which I'm leaning towards. As I mentioned before, if the story calls for it, everything can be great and as I've read a lot of brilliant stories with very different genres and all of them were totally captivating I'm still wavering. You'll see soon enough I suppose, so brace yourselfs. Enough of my idle chit-chat and on with it. |
