Author has written 1 story for School Rumble. UPDATE "Everything" (2/9/10): Remember when I said I wouldn't be attending WPIALS? Well, I am. Go figure. Anyways, there may or may not be an update this week. It all depends on what I do in the next two days. This recent blizzard has freed up a lot of time to an extent that I'm BORED. I'm leaving Friday, so there might be an update. I don't know. Oh, and if Chapter 8 was a bit stale...well...I'm sorry. I seriously just wanted to get that over with and move onto the more emotional stuff within the story. That's a lot more fun to write. HIATUS UPDATE "The New Delinquent" (1/7/10): Yes, I know. I'm a dick. It's pretty much all my fault this hiatus has occurred. It's due to major schedule conflictions and lack of motivation. The schedule conflicts really ONLY come out in January. Florida trip for a week for band, hardcore swimming, WACA Band (which is the grouping of several different schools into one awesome band), Jazz Band, and more swim meets than you could imagine that are AWAY. Thank God that I'm not attending WPIALS, or else my entire will would be crushed. The lack of motivation comes from these conflicts, as it tires me to a point where I'm uncreative. Oh, and just to be even more of a dick, I do have almost half of the next chapter done. I just want this hiatus to be long enough so I can get into the months where I do have motivation. That way, it isn't a "once a month" thing, but rather getting back to a "once a week" thing. UPDATE "The New Delinquent" (11/27/09): Although it passed two days ago, today marks the month-long anniversary of The New Delinquent. The Chapter cranking is still going, and Chapter 7 is near completion. Chapter 7 will most definitely be released on Sunday, while my one-shot for Spore will be released within the next two weeks. Now, I need to address the fact that The New Delinquent actually seems surprisingly long now. We're looking at a possible 32 chapters. Doubel-update weeks may appear so I can get over with this story. Don't worry, it definitely won't be rushed. UPDATE "Breaks and Schedules" (11/18/09): The New Delinquent now runs on a slightly modified schedule. It's still going to be released on Sundays at a random time, but it will also have a break every five chapters. Meaning chapters 10, 15, 20, etc. will have short breaks after them. They'll range from one to two weeks. That's all. I really don't like waiting, so I imagine no one else does. I'll keep these breaks as short as possible but long enough so I can give my mind some rest. UPDATE "General" (11/12/09): I've begun to read several stories. I forgot to favorite them on accident, but I'm trying to broaden my surroundings. I'm currently reading the stories with the most chapters in each of the following sections: Breath of Fire, Kirby, Legend of Zelda. My goal is now to keep the School Rumble story going for possibly longer than a simple 20 chapters. My story currently isn't breaking even 10,000 words. Now, I'll have you know that I've partaken in the Writing thing in November the last two years and was JUST short of reaching 100,000. I must say that I'm probably not going to ever do that again. That is, unless my story becomes successful. I'm also going to start reading the longest Metroid story. I plan on either making a Breath of Fire, Legend of Zelda, or Metroid story in the near future. They will run alongside The New Delinquent. (by the way, it's really just to boost my views much higher because I like feeling special) But, yeah, the fifth chapter of New Delinquent is almost already done. That's the main reason I'm trying to busy myself with another story. Expect something from those categories in a week or two. UPDATE "The New Delinquent" (10/27/09): So I've decided to wait until Sunday to release the third chapter. Looking at the traffic, hits are at an all-time low on Tuesdays through Saturdays anyways. I'm guessing it's because of sports. And, when I released the second chapter on Sunday, hits went up. Hits sky-rocketed on Monday for some reason (thanks, guys, for throwing off my inductive reasoning)...I'm thinking it's because I released the second chapter a little bit later in the day, and people weren't on late enough to see. I also checked today's and I only have 4 hits as of now, so I'm thinking that people who have been reading only read it once. I'm just trying to organize my thoughts into a document, so don't mind me. Oh yeah, I conclude that Sundays kick ass and the release date is VERY easy to make. I shouldn't miss any releases for a good while. UPDATE "The New Delinquent" (10/26/09): Ooh! I've found out that some of the people who read my story came back to read the second chapter! That makes me feel special on the inside. Although, I haven't gotten any reviews yet, but oh well. I'll keep typing. Anyways, I'm only updating to say that the third chapter is already almost done. I'm fine-tuning the chapter and adding more to it so it's LONGER, which is something I've noticed about my chapters (short, but maybe too short). I'll still try to keep them short and sweet, but they'll definitely have to be longer (there are one-shots that have more wordage than I do...) |
