"I'm going to do it!" the girl shrieks. "This year is my year!" It's late, and Astrid's sad and drunk. One night, she tells herself. One night to be alone and sad. She certainly wasn't banking on an equally as sad stranger to come make her feel better.

Two years after HTTYD 1 (but 3 years before HTTYD 2, because math) Hiccup and Astrid are noticing each other on a more intimate level, and begin leaving gifts for one another in secret.

After the Battle of the Red Death, the whole Village of Berk had to learn. The Villagers had to learn how to love Dragons. The Dragons had to learn how to help Berk. Hiccup had to learn how to lead. Astrid had to learn all that and more.

It's been a year since Hiccup has defeated the Red Death, and him and Astrid's relationship has been full of discoveries and realizations about what it means to be hopelessly in love.
