Hey, good people!

I hope you’re having a fine morning/afternoon/evening. Nice of you to stop by! You might be here to check whether I’ve updated something or if I’ve disappeared for a prolonged period of time—I’ll try to leave notices like that here. Otherwise, PM me! I love hearing from everyone.

Writing has, in no small way, defined my life. Like many others here, I aspire to hone my craft and publish a book one day, although that is something of a pipe dream, I think. I am incredibly self-critical, so I get really nervous when I post things, but I really wanted to share them so that at least even one person might be reached by the stories I tell. That has always been my goal.

And the fic I have been working on recently has been with me, sat occupying this huge space in my mind (really obnoxiously and arrogantly, can I just say) for about eight years. Of course, it has evolved time and time over, and is no longer recognisable when placed next to its first incarnation, but still. I am REALLY hoping to be done writing it by the end of August. This is no guarantee—I am a flake. (Update: it is, right as of this moment, July 14th and...well I'm not even halfway through. Big yikes.)

Brit female living in England—so heads up in advance for my British English spelling (see: spelt, learnt, defence, favour, and honour for a few colourful examples). Occasionally I disagree with the Oxford English Dictionary. I just can’t bring myself to write the UK ‘sceptic’ instead of US ‘skeptic’. I just…can’t.

I’m a struggling law student, degenerate, aspiring legal eagle, a cappella singer, avid gamer and all-around glutton for punishment.

I am absolutely obsessed with soundtrack music. Always have been. But lately, I’ve been scouring for the best ambient noise to listen to in the background while I procrastinate and avoid my life responsibilities. Some raindrops just don’t sound as nice as other raindrops, you know?

Don’t tell me to go outside, either. I’ll get wet which’ll make me a bigger drip :(

Legacy - FFVII: We are manipulative, deceptive, selfish. These are traits we all share. Shinra. SOLDIER. Definitely the Turks. Even those we love the most. The dark circle of blame and untruths may never be broken, but there is light to be shed and it is uncovered in the depths of war. But how many times must a pawn be played before the pawn starts playing the game?

I love this story. I have the entire plot in my head and have done for a really long time. It’s just getting it out of my head and into words that is causing me problems! I'm sure one day it will be as complete on here as it is in my head! One thing I do know, though, is that it will eventually be completed. It's not something that will be half-done and abandoned. It will be complete. My mind won't rest until the job is done. Like, I’m serious. Sometimes it keeps me up at night. I am kinda flaky when it comes to my hobbies, as in I kind of pick them up for a mad rush for a couple of months and leave them to die for a year. It’s for that reason that I have written so far ahead before I started posting. For reference, I have written 120,000 words already O_O and I have two or three plotline trackers (because I get so confused) that are each approximately 15,000 words each. Oh, and those 120,000 words? That’s only Act I. In fact, at the time of writing, I haven’t even finished Act I.

It’s gonna be big. It’s gonna be a bang. And I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!
