![]() I first started reading fanfic way back when with none other than Xena and Gabrielle. This is what I think about Twilight: There's so many things wrong with Twilight. First you have this girl who is "loved" (and I completely did air quotes in my head) by one misogynist arrogant spoiled brat who leaves the one he "loves" (again, air quotes) in the woods ALONE while a psychotic vamp is wanting revenge after telling her all kinds of horrible hurtful things (*coughs* misogynist *coughs*) always controlling her and yes he is spoiled because he somehow convinced or manipulated his family in going too. So much for being a part of the family. To those who argue that he did this for her protection, well they knew (and was it not Alice who actually killed him?) they had killed James (Victoria's mate). The whole series is about love and soul mates, there are three mated pairs in the Cullen House and they know what the death of one mate does to the other, yet they leave her. If it was my forever, you'd have to drag me away or kill me to get me away from them. Would you leave? The family that "loves" her the man/boy that is her supposed soul mate the reason of her existence, leaves her. That is NOT protection. Staying so you could be there and know is protecting. No, he leaves and has his sister "look out" for her. What? So, it wasn't even him. No. He left it to Alice and Jacob while he wallowed in self pity in South America. That's not love that's toying with someone. Then Edrama goes to the Volturi to kill himself off, not even thinking of going back to Forks and seeing for himself or going back to find out what happened or go support Charlie (oh, who was that? yes it was Alice)...or nor was he thinking of his own family...No, just himself. As I mentioned before a spoiled brat. He stated that he didn't want to live in a world where Bella didn't exist, well what the hell dude, you LEFT her, you effin LEFT her...again I say...in the woods, alone, after saying horrible things to her. For someone who was alone for about a century sure knew how to throw away his "soul mate." My opinion is that after that and all of the hissy pissy fits he threw he deserves to be alone. Getting jealous over Jacob, if Bella was his forever, he should not have to worry. Edward left Bella and Jacob help fill that void, then after the Volturi tantrum he's just allowed back into Bella's good graces and is an ass to Jacob. I don't like Jacob either but he didn't deserve that, at all. No one does. Bella and Edward were both wrong for that. I will not get into the whole Bella doesn't believe in marriage, but then Eddie uses changing her as a trade off. What. The. Hell? That weird fudged up dream she had about the wedding should have told her something. Hello. That's not cold feet. That's your instincts giving you a clear and gruesome message of RUN BITCH. RUN. A good point that the author 'just twisty' pointed out in the story "Evolutional Variation" is that Jasper, went to school with all of these girls who had their periods, bleeding infused with hormones and sometimes arousal but one small paper cut makes him go berserk. Strange, I say. I know people are obsessed with Twilight and are die hard fans, and I respect that. These are just my opinions. OK, now on to the second giant douche canoe pining over Bella, good ole Jacob. You know him, the shape shifter who has a bad temper and likes to push himself on Bella and kiss her without permission all the while she is with someone else. Constantly saying "I'm better" or "I'm better than him because I'm warm and I have a heartbeat." Yeah, OK dude, whatever. No respect for Bella or Edward. Not that he gave much in return. Come on, if you truly love someone, you want and yearn for them to be happy. Knowing that the other person is happy should be enough to get you through the heartache of not being the one they chose. To see them smile or not to see them smile. A friendship or not seeing them again. I agree that it could take time for you to be able to be around them, but if the love is true, it will always pull you back to their presence and that's what helps your heart to mend. That pull is there for a reason. You were meant to be in that persons life in some way. All of these young kids now a days think lust and obsession is love. They know nothing. I hope one day they grow up, because once they (or you) feel a love like that, it's like nothing in the world. I keep using the word true, but that's exactly what it is. It's true. It's selfless. It's unconditional. It's love. You cannot force someone to love you and you cannot truly love someone if you are trying to force someone to do so. It is selfish. Love is not. Also, if you cannot love even the darkest part of someone, you cannot love them at all. You can't put conditions and terms on unconditional love. You don't think about yourself, your focus is them, always. Jacob= Giant Douche Canoe...wolf. Not to mention, after all the pissy fights, grudges, and hullabaloo...he imprints on Bella's daughter. Errr...okay? There are also things that are awfully similar to Underworld and True Blood that I don't like. The sparkly thing I believe is all Meyers ha ha haaa. I am a Bellice shipper, but I do want to point out that if Edward was a cool as Alice, that's who I would ship. Just saying. I'm a fan of love. |
