This profile is a work in progress. It's just kind of a list of things I like right now, but I'm not really sure what else to do with it, since I don't have any profound insights to dazzle you with.

Preferred pairings: Pretty much any yuri pairing if the story itself is interesting enough.
Preferred genres: Fantasy/Romance, Adventure/Fantasy, etc. but I'm not that consistent if something catches my eye.
Preferred story length: 10k~50k words for romance/drama, 50k~150k for adventure/fantasy.
Preferred fandom/setting: Almost anything if the setting is interesting (no high school/modern AUs). Usually not My Little Pony.

I'm too picky to read fics for only things I've actually seen/read, so despite having read tons of Glee and Twilight fanfic, I've never seen Glee and hate Twilight. No offense meant to those who like it - I'm just not interested in canon. But here's what I have seen/read, and enjoyed.

Things I like:
Anime:
Kannazuki no Miko (anime; This is mostly nostalgia at this point, but aside from many mixed feelings about the second half, it has shrine maiden magical girls, lesbians, humongous mecha and a shounen protagonist who doesn't get in the way of the lesbians. It's quite possible that watching this actually formed a lot of my later taste in anime.)
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (anime; Quite possibly my favorite magical Gundam girl series ever. Its influence can really be seen in more recent magical girl series.)
El Cazador de la Bruja (I think this was actually my first anime ever. I barely ever find anyone else who's watched it, but shenanigans with LA aside, it's actually a very good supernatural action/adventure road trip series.).
Strawberry Panic! (Anime. Yes, I know it's not that good. I liked it at the time, and even shipped Nagisa/Shizuma. I can't even watch it any more because I keep seeing Nagisa/Tamao instead and I already know how it ends.)
Go! Princess Precure (Not necessarily the best Precure anime, and I was debating putting DokiDoki on here instead. But I got further with this one.)
Senki Zesshou Symphogear (anime; The reason why Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is not definitely my favorite magical girl anime. If you'd told me "yes, it's a magical girl series that takes cues from idol and mecha anime" before it aired, I'd have thought you were a crazy person.)

Manga:
Stray Little Devil (my first manga ever and, thanks to some pretty good translation, the reason I learned how Japanese honorifics work. Had a lot of untapped potential thanks to some really interesting worldbuilding but failed to ever really capitalize on it, and the ending felt a little sudden; still an interesting fantasy light-yuri series).
Banana no Nana (shounen coming-of-age-journey anime as a manga with cute girls instead of the usual shounen protagonists; kinda cut short, but could have been amazing).
Yagate Kimi ni Naru (probably the only yuri romance manga I'd recommend to people who know me in real life).
Pixy Gale (I don't remember why this is on here. I think I liked the premise.)
Iono-sama Fanatics (I like this bizarre haremette-perspective yuri harem romance manga unironically, but it's very definitely a guilty pleasure).

Newer books: The Discworld series, by Terry Pratchett (may he rest in peace, though he's not dead while his name is still spoken). I don't read fanfiction of these.
Older books: Used to really enjoy the Oz series, originally by L. Frank Baum. My family owns three shelves of them. Never saw the yuri potential when I read them as a child; given the time period they were written in, doubt the original authors did either.

Videogames (for the gameplay)
Touhou (bullet hell), Starcraft 2 (real-time strategy), Monster Hunter: World (action RPG), Disgaea (tactical RPG / hardcore powergaming simulator), Sentinels of the Multiverse (card game adaptation).
Videogames (for the plot/characters)
Hyperdimension Neptunia (cute and yuri-ish)
Fortune Summoners (endearingly cute side-on action RPG with well written, likable characters. Would definitely watch an anime adaptation of it if such a thing existed, despite having already played it)
Chantelise and Recettear (cute 2.5d/3d RPG (/ greedy shopkeeper simulator in the case of Recettear). Not really yuri-ish in canon, but likable characters, interesting plots, strong female friendships)
Demon Master Chris (yuri, very lewd, also surprisingly cute; strong contender for my overall favorite game of all time; gameplay, while fun and well-designed, isn't that amazing)
Sakura Dungeon (barely even a Sakura game! It's basically a spiritual sequel to Demon Master Chris, having very similar gameplay and even some of the story elements. Still a hentai game)

Visual novels:
Sakura Gamer (grew on me, has pretty likable characters, good character designs, and whatnot).
I intend to put Ne no Kami: The Two Princess Knights of Kyoto on this list when I finish it.
Sono Hanabira (1, 3, 8 are my personal favorites).

Favourite League of Legends champions: Caitlyn, Lux, Ahri (I don't play any more).
Favourite Overwatch heroes: Mercy (RIP), Pharah, Reinhardt, Zenyatta (not a huge fan of his design but he's fun to play).

Favourite fanfiction: In addition to the ones on this site, some ones I particularly liked:
Dungeon Keeper Ami (a long, dark Dungeon Keeper/Sailor Moon crossover. Teases yuri occasionally but Ami isn't really interested. Currently updates very slowly on SV).
Wolves of the North (a fantasy werewolf AU of Shingeki no Kyojin - Krista/Ymir).
Silencio (A Worm AU. Very femslashy, but plot first, romance second). Long but unfinished; most recent chapters are only on Spacebattles.

Accounts on other sites (Tumblr, AO3, SB, SV, Anonkun, livejournal, wordpress...): Don't have any. I do lurk on AO3, SB/SV/QQ and Anonkun but not Fictionpress.

I'm a long-time lurking reader and not much of a writer - I have serious (and not really unjustified since it is technically fine but rather non-descriptive) issues with being harshly critical of my own writing. Also, most of my creative energy gets burned up by other things. Sorry.

As a random final thought... let's talk about -deres! Specifically, tsunderes and yanderes, and my own feelings on them.

I actually like non-violent tsunderes. I think the blushing and grumbling is cute. Noire (Hyperdimension Neptunia), Yukine Chris, Kawamura Reo, and Weiss Schnee (the fanon one is a tsundere of this type; the canon one isn't really) are adorable.

By contrast, tsunderes from series which make heavier use of violence as slapstick, like Akane Tendo (Ranma 1/2) and Louise Valliere (Zero no Tsukaima) are not good examples of this, and even at their best I don't actually like them that much.

...Please try to ignore the fact that all of the positive examples I gave are from yuri series and all of the negative examples I gave aren't.

I also find mild yanderes interesting. The critical positive trait is a (obsessive) dedication to making the target of affection happy as well as just being with them, and a willingness to listen to them, rather than treating them like a prized possession and not actually caring what they think.

I mean, yes, obviously axe-murdering, kidnapping, and such are bad, but there is a difference between doing those because you think they'll make someone else happy, and doing them for selfish reasons. Miyu Edelfelt (Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya) is an awesome character, though you could probably argue that she's actually a kuudere, being kuu to everyone else and dere to Illya. Hard to think of another canon example because this type of borderline yandere fixation is rare in characters who aren't full-on classic murderously jealous yanderes.

Apparently Videogames Really Are Bad For Your Brain by Nemesis13 reviews
Kirigaya Keiko was a fairly normal teenage girl, smarter than her classmates, a bit short tempered when she had to deal with concentrated idiocy, but for the most part, normal. The problem was her passion for gaming, and the desire to avoid all stereotypes involved with being a female gamer. So she always hid behind her male avatar Kirito, that is until SAO...thanks much Kayaba...
