My name is rucabear, or just Ru for short. My guess is that you came to my profile page because you want to know a little more about me.

Some real word stats are that I am a person who loves people and calling people by cute nicknames, regardless of age or gender because honestly, who has the time? Everyone's a darling to me. (If you feel uncomfortable with me calling you a nickname, which usually ranges from hun and sugar to sweetheart and darling, just PM about it and I'll make sure to respect your boundaries.)

I love reading and writing, especially about cartoons, especially about superpowers, and especially about Winx Club. I actually run a Winx Club community called Secretly Yours that you should totally check out and subscribe to. As of right now, I write for Winx Club only, but who knows? Maybe one day I'll expand my horizons. Until then, check out my story, also under the title Secretly Yours. It's sort of a next gen fic (I love next gen fics).

Other than Winx Club, I enjoy Teen Titans, Young Justice, Codename: Kids Next Door, LEGO Ninjago, W.I.T.C.H., X-Men: Evolution, Percy Jackson, and Harry Potter because who doesn't like Harry Potter?

If you want to know about my fangirling, then we have to talk about Winx Club, which I'm totally up for.

Favorite Winx Girls and Why in Order:

1. Flora, Fairy of Nature- she's so sweet and her powers are so awesome and she was the only cartoon character who looks like me that I saw growing up and she takes abuse with a grain of salt and a sugar smile when most people would start putting up walls
2. Stella, Fairy of the Sun, Moon, and Stars- she's vivacious and real and she has so much potential for character growth it's ridiculously fun to write and she has the thickest walls out of them all so maybe we underestimated this sunshine girl, all ribbons and curls
3. Tecna, Fairy of Technology- what can I say? she's relatable and funny and her dynamic in the group is fun to toy around with and she spends the beginning of the show learning how to feel so I guess I see a part of myself in this clueless genius
4. Bloom, Fairy of the Dragon Flame- I know everyone hates her, but Bloom is so three-dimensional because she isn't just a hero, she's also sixteen so she throws a fit and she gets insecure and she runs away when they need her most but honestly? guys, me too
5. Musa, Fairy of Music- she's everyone's favorite and she's spunky and angsty but sometimes the fandom puts her up on this pedestal so if you see me tear her down in a story it's because the Musa underneath with the pigtails and "sick beats" is my favorite Musa
6. Aisha, Fairy of Water- let me tell you, this girl- this indignant, stubborn, narrow-minded, jaded, self-sacrificing, committed, devoted, unrelenting girl- is not just the black girl who they added for diversity but a strong, complex princess who needs so much more love

Winx Club Writing Plan- The Cliché Project

So, if I haven't mentioned it already, I love next generations. Like, a lot. Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Young Justice, you name it. Lucky for me, next gen fics are super prevalent in the Winx Club fanbase. The only problem is that they are so horribly cliché. Of course, they are cliché for a reason- they're fun to read and satisfying. That doesn't change the fact that they're overdone and more often than not terribly written. That's why I'm planning on writing one story for each next generation cliché except each fic will have one twist. Here's the list:

Phase 1: The Secret Pregnancy

The Winx Club find out they’re pregnant after the boys disappear on a mission, and when they come back six years later, old feelings come back to light. Twist: The Winx don't just get everything handed to them and actually struggle as working, single mothers with no college education. Secretly Yours in progress.

Phase 2: The Crime-Fighting Daughters Club

The Winx Club all end up having kids at the same time who are best friends who form a club and fall in love with heroes. Twist: The Winx all have sons who are evil warlocks in a club called the Cabal Knights who end up falling for the heroines, the Magix Club (a.k.a. the daughters of some of the Winx Club's minor antagonists). The Finer the Line, in progress.

Phase 3: Time Travel

When the youngest children of the Winx Club get sent back in time, the Winx Next Generation needs to get them back without letting their parents know who they really are. Twist: The story is still in its planning stage, so the only real twist is that it's just more complex than normal Winx Club Next Generation Fics. It's still being worked on. If anyone can suggest some Winx next gen time travel fics so I know what to do differently, it would be much appreciated. A Trip Through Time (working title), being planned.

Phase 4: The Specialists Cheated

Actually a subset of the Secret Pregnancy cliché, the Specialists cheat on the Winx before the girls can tell them that they're pregnant, so the Winx Club runs away to another realm only to be brought back together when a threat from the past forces the Specialists to protect the Winx and get to know the next generation. Twist: I'm not sure how I'm going to execute this since I really hate OOC stories, but this absolutely requires it to be OOC because in what world would the boys cheat? I just know I really want to try it, so I'm not going to limit myself just yet. (Might include the girls being in a band because why not? I'm not entirely sure yet). Your Entertainment (working title), just an idea.

A Ship A Week

Wow, I have a lot of projects. This one is sort of just a side thing, but I'm thinking about writing little five chapter shipping stories of my random ships. It probably won't be ultra popular stuff and the fandoms will be completely miscellaneous. If you have any suggestions, please PM. Again, I'm super open and understanding. I follow a certain set of morals, of course, so rape and incest, as well as other sketchy situations (i.e. large age gaps, questionable relationships between superiors and inferiors, or any romanticised abuse, etc.), are out of the question. But please let me know if you want to see a random ship and I'll see what I can do.
