Not completely certain what to place here. Hmm. Here goes.

Well, I have not written for fun in quite a while (10 years) and even then it was only semi-seriously. I typically would write "in my head" vs. on paper. I'd work out the scenes, dialog, and so on and hash and re-hash them until it was "done" - at least 90 to 95% done anyway. I do the same thing with writing (specifications, proposals, etc.) for work except after the in my head phase I do a real-world quick data dump and the final edits/tweaks.

Zootopia resonated with me. A lot. Almost obsessively. I never saw it in the theater but decided to watch in one night on pay-per-view. And then ended up watching it 4 more times on just that rental. And then went and bought the Blu-Ray. And watched that. As I write this I think I can drop the almost in front of obsessively from earlier. :/

After that it was browsing fan art (some of which is just gorgeous). Then on to the fanfiction. Out of the 60 pages in the search results for Zootopia I've lost count of the number of stories I've read. Far more than I have followed or marked as a favorite.

I absolutely ship Nick & Judy and lean towards humor and romance. I tend to avoid tragedy although my writing (in my head so far) does touch on angst from time-to-time.

I'm still trying to understand why this movie and these characters have had such an effect on me. My best guess is that even though they are flawed and the world is flawed (like ours) there is redemption - and hope. Something that seems quite lacking in our modern society at times. Perhaps it is no more than that...
