What I Write, Is What We Are

The night is my favorite time of day.

I don't like to be up when it's gray,

Sleep is my sanctuary.

Imagination and ideas tumble around,

Weaving in, out.

Giving Rise and Fall to Newly Breeds.

Long live some, others tossed out before

The thought is given another second.

Stumbles and Blocks all around

try as they might to stop me from ideas

Coming unto my constant lacking stream of thoughts.

Supposed to be so full of fantastical wonder

Full of the imagination

of the darker psychological side

of characters in which I create

or wish to see in a different light;

Or shade, for a change

So many never like to see the darker side

Of our souls.

You fear you see yourself doing things;

Horrible inhuman things

that we are all Fully Capable of.

You fear you will become that thing

You Hate Most.

Your opposing side,

your light,

your shadow.

Lust.

Gluttony.

Envy.

Greed.

Pride.

The Darker Side in which no one wants

But everyone is. In various shapes,

Degrees, and angles...

We are All Capable of Evil.

We all have a Dark Side.
