Author has written 6 stories for Lord of the Rings.

World traveller. Daydreamer. Theatre enthusiast. Mary Sue defender. Socially awkward penguins are my spirit animals.

In December 2015 I started an Éomer / Lothíriel romance split in three parts (because all good things come in trilogies). The first installments, First Impressions and None of the Usual Inducements, are currently complete. I am working on the third installment, Lothíriel. My initial working title was Pride and Prejudice and Uruk-Hai, and I've been consciously remixing Middle Earth with a little Jane Austen, but the series is not intended to be a crossover, nor do you need to be familiar with Austen's works to enjoy it.

In another life -that rather resembles my fannish life sometimes- I am a graduate student writing a PhD thesis on reader engagement with fictional characters.

Lothíriel is currently on hiatus as I am finishing my dissertation. Don't worry, it won't be abandoned, but it might be a while until it updates because I plan to have a full draft finished before I do. My outline has 23 chapters, and I now predict the story will be of similar length, or perhaps a little longer, than None of the Usual Inducements :-)

Update: Hurrah! Yesterday I finished a first, closed doors draft of Lothíriel. I am not ready to start posting yet, but you may expect the story to continue before the end of 2018. It is indeed a little longer than None of the Usual Inducements. ;-)

The Ugly Duckling of Dol Amroth by Spake2121 reviews
My name is Lothiriel of Dol Amroth. Though my reputation for truth is somewhat tarnished I swear that every word of this tale, the most important of my life, is true...

The Victors Sing the Loudest Songs by annafan reviews
A Dunlending woman in Bree muses on the arrival of King Elessar and his retinue. (Grim. A million miles from my usual fluffy output. I'm not normally one for trigger warnings, but in this case, be warned, this tackles racism, rape, forced abortion and infanticide. None of it is graphic, however, hence still being a T rating.)

Lothíriel reviews
Lothíriel of Dol Amroth has consented to marry Éomer of Rohan, perhaps to prevent a war over horse theft and perhaps because of other less political considerations. Yet their impetuous betrothal stands on a knife-edge and meanwhile, trouble is brewing in the Lands of the Prince.

None Of The Usual Inducements reviews
Éomer of Rohan returns to Gondor to visit his sister and Faramir in Emyn Arnen. There also he finds a changed Lothíriel, or a changing Lothíriel - something unexpected and inconvenient, anyway. Amidst diplomatic disasters, chats about the weather, and the fair woods of Ithilien, Lothíriel ponders what she wants in life, and Éomer must decide what he wants in love.

Of Wine and Rhymes reviews
Lively nights in Emyn Arnen lead to a new invention, which is immediately put to good use. Also featuring: Aragorn, Arwen, Éomer and Lothíriel. A tongue-in-cheek one-shot written for the February Teitho challenge (the theme was "First") with no connection to my other stories.

First Impressions reviews
Lothíriel of Dol Amroth and Éomer of Rohan are thrown together after the War of the Ring, and it doesn't go well. Misunderstandings, rash judgements and misdirected resentment in a tale as old as time.
