Favorite Shows: CSI (original, not spin-offs), The Dresden Files (damn SciFi for cancelling it), Hell's Kitchen, Firefly (damn SciFi for cancelling that, too), and Life on Mars. I used to like Bones, but one day I came to my senses and realized that, well, it really isn't a great show.

Favorite Movies: Sneakers, Trading Places, Airplane, The Empire Strikes Back, Much Ado About Nothing, Labyrinth, and The Princess Bride.

03-17-08: So...yeah. I haven't updated Binding Ties in some time. I just can't find inspiration. I know exactly what's going to happen, how it ends, all plot points, etc., but I simply am not motivated to write it any longer. I'm considering finishing the chapter I'm working on, posting it, and including a memo stating that I'm going to stop writing it and if anyone wants, I'll e-mail them a run-down of all that has yet to happen. Yeah, this makes me seem like such a flake (especially after I kept saying I would never abandon it), and I'm sure it makes me much less a writer, but if you're not inspired you're going to write utter $#, so it's a lesser-of-two-evils type thing in my mind: either I stop writing something I don't really enjoy anymore and move on to things I do enjoy, or I force myself to do something that feels like a chore and end up with utter $#!. All I can say is that I truly am sorry. Hate me, shake your head in disgust, scorn me, do as you please. I'm sorry. I tried. Maybe not as hard as I could have, but I did try for a time.

In other news, I'm gearing myself up to start a Livejournal account. There I will post the garbage...er, I mean, all the non-fanfic stuff I bang out, which includes attempts at poetry, rants, musings, short stories, etc. Every now and then I may post a piece of fic from some fandom or other.

In other other news, I'm hoping to get a job before March is over. Which means I go to the only place likely to hire a bizarre little bugger like me: the place where my mom's worked since she was 18, where they'll likely hire me only because I'm family (and because they can never keep student shelvers for some reason, so they're desperate and'll take anyone they can get). Still, a paycheck's a paycheck, and come summer I'm going to work at the new community theatre they're building here. Backstage work, understand--I cannot pull off a semi-almost-decent acting job to save my life.

Yeah, I'll shut up now, because really, who do I think is reading this?
