Hello fellow fictioners, Ayame Chatte here with a message to the readers of Familiar Stranger:

I am truely sorry for seemingly abandoning my fic for almost two years, it seems. As I was writing the story, I ran into a brick wall of a writer's block, and suddenly I did not know where I was heading with it. In fact, the only ending I could come up with was utterly depressing, and I knew I could never forgive myself if I put poor Yuki through that particular hell! Since then, I have come to the realization that in order to write, I need to know what outcome I am working towards, and - thank God - I think I have finally found a happy (or at least happi-er) ending for the story. To make up for lost time, I plan on revising the third chapter that I have written, and then compose the next one or two chapters and post the entire group. I am pleased to say that my writing ability has gotten better over the past two years, so no more script-like dialogue. (Yay!) Secondly, as I looked over the two chapters that I have already posted, I am embarassed at how pathetically short they are; so I promise the following chapters will be much meatier and jucier (like a good tomato!) Also, I am currently in the process of writing a Draco/Ginny Harry Potter fanfic, entitled Second Glance, but I think I will wait to post it until I have more written. My goal, however, is to have it finished before the final book is released, because it would just kill me (and the fic) if one of the characters dies before I finish my story. With this in mind, my plan is to only let myself work on one as long as the other is getting equal attention. I hope not to fall into this problem of leaving stories unattended again, but in the mean time please bare with me. I apologize once again. Thank you.

So what have I been doing with myself for the past two years since my last up-date? High school, mosty. Junior year is a itch! But on the other hand, senior year makes up for it in the wonderfully great privileges allotted to the senior, i.e. senior chillout day, no TAKS (a pointless series of state-wide tests that take up an entire week of school that ultimately falls aroung my birthday - it really sucks!), senior class feild trip, and, of course, prom and graduation. However, I must say that Pre-Calc almost killed me first semester, but after substituting the fourth year of math for a study hall period, senior year has become the best thing that ever happened to me. (sort of.)

Anyway, I want to my first anime convention this past weekend (April 27-29), and had a blast! According to other people I talked to there, Anime Matsuri was far from being a great (or even good) anime convention; but, hey, I still had fun, and ultimately that's what really matters. My friends and I met this freakin' amazing artist, Ami, who can be found at her website - -(WARNING: her stuff tends to be anything but sweet puppies and kittens... unless, of course, said puppies and kittens were to be engaged in some sort of deviant or otherwise suggestive activities/circumstances. ,) But, yeah, she's amazing. She sold me a "smexy" badge of Hitachiin Hikaru and Kaoru from Ouran High School Host Club (if you don't know about this anime/manga, you should!) and a totally sweet, one-of-a-kind, comissioned Draco and Ginny drawing. There were so many people cosplaying, it was unbelievable! On Saturday, I saw these twin sisters cosplaying as Hikaru and Kaoru from the "Haruhi in Wonderland" episode, in which the twin brothers are the Cheshire Cat(s), and it was as it the 2D characters had come to life! I didn't go back on Sunday due to work, and wouldn't you know? the day I don't go, a guy shows up cosplaying as Kyo-kun from Faruba!? Luckily, I have such wonderfully, sweet, terrific, and perfectly beloved friends who took a picture of him for me. But yeah...I walkind away from my frist con with yummy pictures, awsome photos, a shiny, black cat colar with giant silver bell, totally kawaii, black cat ears, and a Lord Sesshy plushy (for my mom)...not bad if you ask me!
