I love "Harry is rescued from the Dursleys" stories but never found one that was quite right. So I had to write one myself.

Thought to be the squib brother to the Boy-Who Lived, he was sent away from the wizarding world as a boy. Treated with hatred and apathy from his relatives, until he receives a letter from a place called Hogwarts. FULL SUMMARY INSIDE.

At age seven, Harry wants to control his "freakishness". A book in the library calls to him. He finds that he needs to get stronger in order to control what is probably magic that causes all those unexplained events near him. That brings some unexpected changes to his life.
