![]() Author has written 5 stories for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Naruto, Sword Art Online/ソードアート・オンライン, and Harry Potter. Name's Torns, which means nothing. Pretty much just ended up being the first thing I thought of that wasn't already taken. Honestly, I used to think I was some kind of hotshot here, but then I became slightly less dumb, and now realize how unhelpful that attitude was for me and everyone else. I do take pride in my writing, but man, it's definitely a work in progress, let me tell you. Not to mention my rather underwhelming track record when it comes to updates... If you want something original, then I'm the guy for you, I can promise you that at least. Might not be very good, but original nonetheless. My advice to any fellow writers, if you care to know: It's easy to feel like giving up if success doesn't come right away, but these things usually take time. The ones who strike it rich from the start are the exception. Plus, it doesn't hurt to hang back in the trenches for a while and really learn your stuff before charging out there to no man's land. I'm currently working on three stories here: Bullseye!: A Harry Potter slice-of-life about Harry as a Hufflepuff. It's probably about finding one's passion, growing discipline, learning to compromise, and becoming confident and well-rounded as a person. Chapters are generally short and focus mostly on Harry's personal development. Inspired mainly by personal experience. This is the story I come to when I just want to relax and have fun. Percivelly: A Percy Jackson epic about Percy as a rogue, almost out-of-place telekinetic in my own version of Riordan's world. Definitely one that takes a lot of liberties with the source material. It's probably about accepting responsibility, attaining redemption, acknowledging death, letting go of pride, and overcoming suffering. Plot progression is generally slow, but there's a lot going on at the same time, and many, many characters. Inspired mainly by the Homeric epics, One Piece, Vinland Saga, the anecdotal "Sword of Damocles," and a bunch of other random, seemingly incongruous stories—from movies to video games to novels to manga. This is my most ambitious work. Plan B: A Naruto what-if about a boy named Arashi, Naruto's post-mortem replacement. It's probably about believing in oneself, revealing vulnerability, telling the truth, trusting others, facing one's past, and also cool fight scenes. Chapters are long, and focus alternatively on three main characters. Inspired by YuYu Hakusho and, surprisingly enough, Naruto itself. Frankly speaking, the main purpose of this one is to actively subvert fanfiction itself and prove how restrictive the form can be in the hopes that people will start writing better stuff. Updates for all are inconsistent but inevitable. Feel free to PM me with any questions. |
