 Author has written 13 stories for Harry Potter. Just a normal girl who is in love with writing, painting, photography and all things Potter. I also enjoy Castle, White Collar, Doctor Who, NCIS, anything Disney and, of course, Narnia. It's been around four years since I've been into fanfiction, and I loved every second of it. Right now I've only posted one-shots and one complete story about Harry Potter, but I've been working on 3 chaptered stories: 2 Harry Potter ones, a Chronicles of Narnia one, as well as a Doctor Who series which is probably going to end up spanning around 9 chaptered stories - I have a lot, and I mean a lot, of plans for this series - and until I've finished them I'm not going to post them here; I often have huge writers blocks and I'd rather not keep my readers hanging for months on end. So until they're at least half finished, they won't be seeing the light of day :). The only exceptions to this is my Harry Potter fanfic, Never Let Go, which I am pretty proud of, and another HP fic that I'm co-authoring with my sister, Chronic Potterphile. Well, being an Auror has never been simple, but when the victim is a part of the family, things are bound to become far worse. Relations are put to the test, and old secrets resurface. A Touch of Ice: Aurors Scorpius Malfoy and Albus Potter are in charge of a murder case. The only clues are a missing ring, a cigarette stub and lots of water and blood. As the two Aurors start investigating, they find a lot of startling pieces of evidence... and not everyone being questioned is telling the truth. The characters are: Albus Potter. Age 23. Scorpius Malfoy. Age 23. This story isn't part of the Never Let go universe. Here Al was a Gryffindor, and Lucy never died or anything. This is a different verse altogether. MISC. OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. In Honor of Stupid People In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed to stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods: On a Sears hairdryer -- Do not use while sleeping. (Shoot, and that's the only time I have to work on my hair.) On a bag of Fritos -- You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (the shoplifter special)? On a bar of Dial soap -- "Directions: Use like regular soap," (and that would be how??...) On some Swanson frozen dinners -- "Serving suggestion: Defrost." (but, it's "just" a suggestion). On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) -- "Do not turn upside down." (well...duh, a bit late, huh)! On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding -- "Product will be hot after heating." (...and you thought??...) On packaging for a Rowena iron -- "Do not iron clothes on body." (but wouldn't this save me more time)? On a Japanese food processor -- "Not to be used for the other use." (now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious) On Sainsbury's peanuts -- "Warning: contains nuts." (talk about a news flash) On an American Airlines packet of nuts -- "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: maybe, ooh...fly Delta?) On a child's Superman costume -- "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly." (I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.)
