"When a story is told, it is not forgotten. It is the memory of who we were; the hope of what we can become" -Sarah's Key
This is my favorite quote because it tells the story of living on in others by passing on a memory and I love the story of Sarah's Key . It inspires me even though the story itself is shocking, thrilling and endearing.
That is why I love stories that can bring a reader into the story and be part of the adventure. Falling in love with a character, seeing their path to redemption and grow to become better versions of themselves. Integrating a character in an established world is harder than it sounds: the character should know how to stand on their own without being labeled as a damsel in distress or forbid it a Mary Sue; the story has to be unique in the sense that it is not the same recycled material every other writer is recreating with a theme; and the story has to have the potential to not only be great but to be better.
I have read the works of some great authors that have profoundly broke the barriers of their own limits and some writers who are still growing in their work and style of writing. Everyone starts somewhere; some are better than others but everyone has the chance to succeed beyond their own limitations.

This is the bit where I ramble on about myself. Well here goes it...
I am a political science major or poly sci if you will, with a love for creative writing. My work concludes fictional stories with focuses around adventure and mysteries. I have an interesting way of writing, my idea of brainstorming is to writing storylines that are essentially rough drafts of where a story might go. Interconnecting storylines are what I refer to as editions and it helps keep track of my writing.
I have been part of this site for awhile, reading some interesting tales and beta reading some emerging works. Now as I expand and hone my style of writing, I look to explore the styles of writing found here. I admire those writers able to integrate a character in an established story as I have said before and it's not something I can do but I am up to the challenge.

My favorite stories are crossovers and those who can do it seamlessly I congratulate, you who are indeed great writers and an inspiration in developing my style of writing.
Harry Potter has to one of the most beloved pieces of work, I grew up with it and so did countless others and who doesn't love exploring the world of magic in a whole new light.
And that is why I love fanfiction because here writers make you question previous beloved characters and love them even more so. Villians become vulnerable and heroes become devious and shockingly power-hungry fanatics. Here fanfiction can become an unknown world in itself, here the reader falls into the pages of a storybook and lives the adventure of a lifetime. Who said reading didn't have its merits
