 Author has written 1 story for Yu Yu Hakusho. Hello! I live in New York, where I go to grad school. I'm getting my PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience (it's not half as cool as it sounds, but it does have its moments). I've been reading fanfiction ever since I can remember. When I was in middle school, I would wake up around 7am on Saturdays just to watch some of the animes (Mew Mew Power, Shaman King, etc), and then I would get on the family desktop and vacuum up as much fanfiction as I could in those precious hours before my parents woke up and kicked me off. I'm 23 now, all grown up in my own apartment, but my thirst for excellent fanfiction hasn't changed. I read Yu Yu Hakusho and Harry Potter only. I've been meaning to write a fic of my own ever since I can remember, and I've tried a few times (on an old account, which I'm too embarrassed to link to); it never went well because I would try to force a story out of threadbare ideas for a beginning. You should never write a story until you know exactly how it ends and why; I don't remember who said that, but he or she was right. The story I'm working on now, about Wilhelmina (just Mina), is a story I've had slowly blossoming in the back of my mind for at least five years. Ten, maybe. Her name, and the details, have changed countless times, but much of the skeleton has stayed the same. The story is finished in my mind and I know my characters inside and out; now, with some trepidation that this will cement it and spoil it, I'm finally taking the time to write it down. So, in conclusion, I might be crazy, but I finally have to get this beautiful story out of my mind and share it with all the rest of you. I hope you love it as much as I do. It will be long and complicated, the way all the best stories are (have I mentioned that I live and breathe Harry Potter?). P.S. The picture of the young girl with wild hair and a silver skull on her arm, is a painting by Luis Royo, darkened and slightly color-altered by someone else who is also not me. As soon as I saw it, it was like magic; this is exactly how I always pictured Mina, minus the arm skull (what is that supposed to be? A bracelet? Armor?).
