Author has written 1 story for Warcraft.
Hi!
I'm kind of new to all of this! My name is Dave, I'm 17 years old and writing is my passion. I heard about this website through one of my friends, and I figured that this coupled with DeviantArt would help me get a little exposure for my creations of literature.
So I guess until I get the hang of this whole profile thing I'll just tell you a little bit about myself!
Top 3 movies/movie series
-3. The Godzilla Franchise: I grew up with Big G and I love all those movies to this day!
-2. Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit: I've always loved anything Tolkien, and though Warcraft was my first fantasy exposure, I'll always love Lord of the Rings as well.
-1. The Princess Bride: Oh my... What can I say about this movie? It's my favorite movie of all time! I've been watching it since I was 7 and the obsession has stuck! One summer I watched this movie literally 3 times a week!
Top 3 Books
-3. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin: I have a love-hate relationship with ol'Georgy, but I still read his books.
-2. The Tales of the Otori series by Lian Hearn: These are some of my favorite books ever. They take place in a fantasy Japan and written SO well. I recommend this series to anybody!
-1. The Warcraft series: When I found out that there were books based on World of Warcraft back in Middle School, I nearly died of happiness. I could take my favorite fantasy realm with me to school, on trips, and anywhere else I wanted! My top book of the whole series right now is probably War Crimes by Christie Golden. There was something about that book that just kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, I brought it to work, to school, and read it for hours at night.
Top 3 Characters From Anything
-3. Nobunaga Oda from Samurai Warriors: I always loved Nobunaga's anti-hero status. He is such an interesting character, he desires peace, yet it willing to be ruthless in order to achieve it. For some characters, he is the "boss" of the series and their stories are all about stopping his rule, while others attempt to succeed him and surpass him.
-2. Jon Snow from A Song of Ice and Fire: I know Jon is already a fan favorite, but I just always loved him above anyone else in the series. I've always loved the literary concept of bastard children, I guess because they tend to be the underdogs and usually don't have it the best compared to their trueborn siblings. I also love Jeor Mormont, so Jon's father-son relationship with him was also awesome!
-1. Garrosh Hellscream from World of Warcraft: I guess this may come off as a shock since Garrosh has essentially been written to be the most hated character in Warcraft. I used to be in that boat too, I hated Garrosh in Cataclysm and in the beginning of Pandaria, but then I started doing a little more research on his character and somewhere down the line, I grew to love him. I realized, "Holy crap, this is Grom's son. He's bringing back Orcish pride, and he's uncorrupted by demons. The SON of Hellscream is the Horde's warchief!" And then the obsession began. Garrosh is my favorite character from any work ever. I specifically like Garrosh in his Cataclysm state, back when he was still honorable and before Blizzard butchered his character. I could go on about him for pages and pages, so I'd better stop here.
My Writing Style
I mostly write action/adventure type stories and on here they will most likely be centered around World of Warcraft.
How can I support you?
Honestly, the biggest way you can support me is by giving me a reaction to my writing. Liking/Favoriting work or the equivalent on this site is great, but I've always appreciated some type of real reaction. Whether it's a long paragraph about my work or just a quick "Nice job :)" that always motivates me to write more than a simple like/favorite does.
Also, sharing my work is the absolute best way to support me! The more people who see my work, the better!
Lastly, if you have a DeviantArt page, please drop by and Watch me! DeviantArt is where I post most of my work first, and the only place I currently post my original stories. The link to the page is:
