![]() "Life is like a riddle, where's its end?" Hi! I'm Eventria. I'm not really confident in my writing skills, so I doubt I'd be posting any story anytime soon. But I love reading! I spent most of my time on ff.net reading fanfics. Most of them are well-written, though sadly most are abandoned or on hiatus. I don't begrudge, but I really wish there are more fanfics that are both good reads and either not abandoned or already completed. Gender: Female...I think. I could have been brainwashed by aliens and am really a male. Likes: blue, basketball, reading, flowers, drawing, holidays, soccer and friends. Dislikes: homework, school, insects, arachnids, bullies and darkness. My thoughts on: Hinata (From Naruto) To be frank, I really don't like her. And I definitely don't support NarutoxHinata. I know it's a canon pairing and a lot of people think they're a sweet couple, but I really don't like it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to start a ship war. I just want to let my opinion be known. For one, the reason why she didn't approach Naruto when they were younger was because she's shy or something like that, right? If she loves Naruto so much, shyness shouldn't have been an obstacle at all...I'm not saying I could do better if I was in her place, by the way. Also, she's definitely a fangirl. Not one with a dominant personality, but a fangirl nonetheless. I find her stalker-like tendencies...freaky. Does she spy at Naruto when he's at home? I'm not sure if its canon or not but...I honestly wouldn't be surprised. I think Naruto is more of an obsession for her, and she only really likes him because he is able to do what she can't. Sakura (From Naruto) At first I thought she's plain annoying. A fangirl who is absolutely blind to the true Sasuke. All she sees is what she wants to see. And she's absolutely horrible to Naruto. Really, with her brains, didn't she think that her constant punching Naruto might cause injuries? No she didn't, because Naruto is dirt. But in Shippuden she was more mature, though really... Confessing to Naruto when she definitely knew she didn't like him that way? Harsh...even though he probably knew.And...marrying Sasuke of all people? The height of her growth should have been letting go of Sasuke, I think. He was her pre-teen obsession. Letting go of him would have been equal to showing that she'd really grown up. Sasuke (From Naruto) Didn't he ever hear that "the best revenge is living well"? ...Obviously not. Naruto (From Naruto) Honestly an idiot. An attention-seeking, but admirable, idiot. A Gryffindor idiot. Yeah...he kept claiming he wanted to be Hokage to gain people's acknowledgement, but isn't it the other way round? People who are acknowledged become Hokage. And even though his goal is absolutely hard to accomplish, he slacks. And slacks. And slacks. I think the only reason why he survived through all of his ordeals is because of the nine-tails and a very generous amount of luck. Oh yeah, and because he's seriously overpowered. VERY OP. Dumbledore (From Harry Potter) Honestly, I liked him. I was rather oblivious to what could have been manipulations while reading Harry Potter, maybe because I started reading when I was seven? In the first year, he placed the Philosopher's stone in Hogwarts calling it the most secure place, not even second to Gringotts, when those obstacles guarding the stone were bypassed by first years? Neville would have known about the Devil Snare. I don't think Harry's the only good flyer and Ron certainly isn't the only chess player, right? Anyone with brains could have solved the riddle, although it may take some time. Really, the safest place? Laughable. And for him not to have noticed that Quirrel was being possessed by Voldemort? Just as laughable. Above all, he claims to not be biased against the houses, but when he did that blatant favoritism right there and then by awarding the Golden Trio points for breaking rules. Yeah. Awarding points for good chess playing. Haha, very funny. And in second year, with the students being petrified left and right, he should have evacuated the school. Any non-magical school would have done that when there's a bomb threat, or whatever. Hermione was the first one who realized the mysterious attacker was a basilisk, but even though she's smart and reads more than she has to, I don't think she is more knowledgeable or smarter than the teachers and Dumbledore himself. He has a hundred years over her, and it's not even the first time the basilisk attacked. He obviously knows the perpetrator back then wasn't Hagrid's Aragog and that it was still in Hogwarts, so he should have spent time researching. He should have come across the information, definitely before Hermione did, especially with it being in such an accessible place (school library). He was lucky no one actually died. And after everything Harry went through he just dumped Harry back at the Dursleys. He says its dangerous anywhere else and its for Harry's own good, but did he think of internal threats? Because the Dursleys certainly aren't scoring top for loving relatives anytime soon. And...after Harry saw Voldemort sticking out of Quirrel's head, or slayed a basilisk and saw Tom Riddle, or witnessed Voldemort's resurrection and Cedric's demise, and Sirius' demise, and everything else, he didn't think of getting Harry a counselor? Especially with all those nightmares? And really, having Harry study occlumency with Snape, who didn't hide his resentment for Harry? I think its partially his fault Sirius fell through the veil. He should have known Snape wouldn't teach Harry occlumency properly. Either he's super senile, stretched thin by all his duties, or...he's a kinder, nicer, more manipulative version of Voldemort, I think. Voldemort/T.M.R (Harry Potter) A pushover. Yes, he is a sadist-masochist. Yes, he likes throwing all sorts of nasty curses 'round everywhere. Yes, he is merciless. No, he is not creative. I mean, yeah, Avada Kedavra sounds totally like the bad-guy-must-know-number-one, but when it failed on Harry once already, why does he still keep throwing it around like its going to slip out of his fingers if he doesn't use it? He could, you know, try other ways to defeat the guy. Like...poison, or something. Pretty sure Nagini could sneak into Hogwarts and bite while he's sleeping. Oh, and have you seen the way he looks? Half-snake mutant, I feel pretty insulted for all the snakes out there. He probably smells rotten too, with his foul looks, how could his followers bear to kiss his robes? Seriously. And the number of VoldemortxHarry fics out there? Enough to make me want to puke. Hello? Who would want to court a noseless, mouthless, red-eyed murderer of their parents who probably smells like rot? Harry (Harry Potter) The typical angst-y teenager with a hero-complex - and a typical protagonist with an alarming lack of brains. Firstly, if he hadn't met Malfoy, who left a bad impression, or Hagrid and Ron, who are anti-Slytherin, he would have been sorted into Slytherin, right? So why doesn't he show Slytherin traits? I don't see 'em, no I don't. And he of all people should know that Slytherin isn't synonymous with Death Eater, being an almost-Slytherin himself, but no... He didn't consider that eleven year old kids couldn't possibly be dreaming up of the best way to use the Cruciatus curse in their sleep unless their sociopaths who should be locked up somewhere. Didn't he ever hear of peer pressure? Half of the Slytherins must have sided with Voldemort cause everyone expects them to. It's nearly bullying, and with his disastrous childhood, second, beginning of forth and fifth year where almost everyone turned on him he should be able to understand the Slytherin kiddies and help them, Gryffindor or not, but nooo... Ginny (Harry Potter) A fangirl. Probably grew up fantasizing about how Harry and herself were soul mates. Yeah, no elaboration needed. I don't hate her, per say, but nope, I dun like GinnyxHarry. Never.\ The Wizarding World In General (Harry Potter) Don't they ever think for themselves? They're all "let's worship Harry Potter" one moment and "let's listen to the Daily Prophet badmouth Harry Potter and agree" the next. And then they'll be "let's sing praises about Harry Potter because you-know-who (no I don't XD) is back and he can defeat he-who-must-not-be-named even though he's just a child and we should really be the ones doing the job (really what's up with all those stupid names?)". No. Loyalty. Whatsoever. All I see is cowardice. They're like sheep. Oh, and even people who claim to like non-magicals treat the non-magicals like...like...well, lesser beings. And are they living in the past? Really? Clinging onto tradition like that the reason why they didn't stagnate is because of all the muggleborns and half-bloods, but they're so blind to it all. Why they think Purebloods are better when obviously no one gets to choose who they are born to is a mystery. Sorry if my opinion and yours differ. Please, don't start an argument over this? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. |
