Author has written 47 stories for Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Heroes, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Eureka, Once Upon a Time, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Hunger Games, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, and Angel. My real name is Diana. Mrs. Diana Crocodile. (Or Mrs. Crocodile is from a Tori Amos song, whatever.) I was really active with writing fanfiction in my mid to late 20's. I'm now in my 30's, and I've definitely slowed down considerably. But I still write when the inspiration hits me. Generally: I love writing fanfiction, and I especially love feedback (hint, hint). I don't think I'm at a professional level. This will never be my day job. But I do work really hard to make my stories the best I can be. (And I definitely get better as you progress through time. The early stuff is embarrassing.) I tend to get obsessed with a fandom and go at it full steam, until one day, I just move on. Sorry about that. There is so much I still want to do, especially in the areas of Buffy and Eureka. But I honestly don't know if those plotbunnies will ever come to fruition. So let's talk about this weird thing I have about not letting characters stay dead, because it's getting to be a habit. It's really as simple as, I bring them back because I can. I think it stems from an untimely loss in my own life. (Yep, that's as specific as I want to be.) With that person, I can't just write a story and resurrect the dead. In certain fandoms, because of the rules of their universes, I can. So when I bring someone back from the dead, she's probably just a surrogate for that one person. (If you want to get all psychological.) The point of all this is that I am aware that it's slightly weird that I keep doing this over and over again. I try to have something more to the story than just bringing someone back though, something plot-wise that makes it worthwhile to read. Also, if you're into it, I've made several Doctor Who and OUAT: Wonderland fanvideos. Check them out (if you want): https://www.youtube.com/user/FloridaRaisin/videos With regard to my Harry Potter stories: I also post on FictionAlley under the name "Raisin Girl" (which is taken here.) So if you recognize something, I didn't steal it. Between Love and War: Remember above when I was talking about things being embarrassing? This literally gets progressively better from chapter to chapter, which is kind of cool, but it starts out so poorly written. Don't judge my writing by the first six chapters or so. Also, FF.net has taken out the scene breaks in the earlier chapters, so that scenes flow into each other with no transition. I know what happened, and I keep meaning to fix it, but in the meantime, I'm sorry that those chapters have become so difficult to follow. And lastly, this is officially abandoned. |
