Beat offers to hang out with Joshua for the day because everyone else is busy. Joshua is taken aback by the offer, but also surprised to learn that Beat is much smarter than he'd originally thought. He also learns that going into his room can only end with being tied up by a squid (First Part of my Fallen trilogy).

Neku tried to pull his headphones over his ears, but ended up reaching at air as he realized that number one, Shiki had specifically told him to take them off, and number two, he was going to have to listen to this brat now that she had done that.JoshNeku
