Rick soon learns that she was present when her mother was murdered and could help them solve the case. But will a relationship grow out of the destruction and how will Kate cope when she learns the truth?

Summary: Castle leaves for the Hamptons with Gina, just before Beckett was going to tell him that she wanted to give them a chance but then Gina showed up. This story will provide what happened after obviously not like it happened on the show

The universe?" he scoffs, still clinging to the pretense that he doesn't know what she's getting at. "You don't even believe in that stuff." COMPLETE

Set a few years in the future. What happens when Kate doesn't come home to her family because she's burying herself in work again? Is she falling back to her old habits? Will Castle be able to understand this time?

It's Castle's birthday, and he knows Kate has plans for him, but when an accidental explosion in the morgue leaves him with blown plans and an unwanted houseguest, he and Kate are forced to find more...creative ways to celebrate.
