Beverly and Klingons! I originally posted this as Firinn3, but never finished it. I have more chapters, and would like to complete the story, so I'm re-posting the initial chapters along with some new material. I WILL finish it this time. :-)

Set early in the first season of TNG, Picard must question his adherence to one of the founding principles of the Federation, in order to solve a mystery that threatens the future of humankind. *Re-posting this story from a few years ago

A/U: As the Enterprise crew prepares to rescue the kidnapped Will Riker, the stakes only become higher, when Yar must face an old rival. As the adventure continues, the fate of the galaxy depends on the crew's ability to remain unified against a growing threat.

In the wake of Felisa Howard's death, secrets come to light.

This story is the sequel to "Man Out of Time" and picks up immediately after the events at the end of that story. It is 2367 and following the recent return of Captain Picard from the Borg, the Enterprise crew is caught up in a complex and sinister plot which threatens to splinter the crew and Starfleet. They must stick together if the Federation as they know it is to survive.

As his telepathic link with Beverly becomes stronger, Picard thinks that there is no one else he could imagine sharing himself with, and there is no one else he could be more terrified of sharing himself with. Existing and alternate scenes for "Attached," from Picard's point of view. P/C. Complete.

What would it be like if one or the other decided to break the decades' old orbit one day? No fuss, no muss, no near-death epiphanies - just coffee, croissants, and a question all PC fans wanted to see asked on-screen.

AU: What if Jean-Luc and Beverly never joined Starfleet? I believe fate would have drawn them together regardless. But then again, I have 'one ship' and it's for PC. Here's my take on the meeting between a young stage director and an esteemed archaeologist. COMPLETE.

Vash sneaks into Jean-Luc's quarters, but things don't go quite as she's planned. COMPLETE.

Long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, intrepid P/C writers were once challenged to write a short story in a wooing challenge. This was my entry. COMPLETE.

Assuming Beverly and Jean-Luc are in a stable romantic relationship while serving on the D will give you enough background context to (hopefully) enjoy this introspective fic. COMPLETE.

Preparing to experience the full force of an aging Vulcan ambassador's unrestrained emotions, Picard finds there is only one person he trusts to stay with him through the storm. My version of the mind-meld scene from "Sarek," from Picard's point of view. P/C, stays with canon.

2380. After the Enterprise suffers an attack, Picard ends up at Starfleet Medical under Beverly's care.

We all know the story. Jean Luc Picard falls in love with his best friend's wife & then lives with guilt for years after Jack is tragically killed in an accident. In this story I offer what I imagine might have happened both before & after Jack's death. The story follows basic canon and revisits a few TNG episodes. Chapter 7 has been re-worked a bit. Enjoy & review.

Let's face it, Nemesis did terrible things to TNG canon, not the least of which was the separation of the doctor and captain. I'm not one to let egregious errors fester, so here's my take on bringing our illustrious couple back together. Expect some romance, mild angst, UST, and maybe even a little bit of humour. Oh, and this hasn't been beta-ed, so please forgive me.

After their encounter with The Borg and Jean Luc's subsequent assimilation and rescue, Beverly pieces him back together. In the process she comes to a decision about what she wants and acts upon it. This story takes place following the episode, Family, in Season 4.

When Beverly starts a new life on the Enterprise, she has to learn how to trust again after having her heart broken. AU. Takes place 2364 when the Enterprise D is launched .

Doctor Crusher falls into a deep sleep. The secret to waking her may be hidden in the indecipherable scrawls of her personal journal. The crew hesitates to say goodbye. PC

Post movie "Generations". While the Enterprise is undergoing maintenance, Jean-Luc and Beverly spend shore leave on a secluded planet.

As the Enterprise D commences its inaugural voyage, Picard brings aboard a very small passenger. Now, how he can command the new star ship and care for his new charge, that will be the greatest challenge he's faced yet. Maybe, just maybe, he'll find some new, and old, friends on board his ship to lend a hand.

Re-publishing this story and sequel Man Out of Time

Sometimes it doesn't all work out in the end, and you have to go on anyway. P/C.

Injured and dying on a remote desert moon, Picard has plenty of cause to think on the ways he'd always tried to do right by the Crusher family...and the ways he'd fallen short. Set during the latter parts of "Final Mission" and afterwards; concludes after "Data's Day." Complete. P/C.

Sequel to Free Play and Free Play: Level 2. What happens when Picard and Crusher take their relationship outside the holodeck.

It's hard enough for a mother to send her child out into the world, much less out into other planes of existence. Beverly struggles after saying goodbye to Wesley. Epilogue to "Journey's End." P/C. One-shot.

Q has given them a lot to think about. Now what will they decide to do about it? My version of an epilogue to "All Good Things." P/C.

A story of how Jean-Luc's relationship with Nella affected his friendship with Beverly.

Remember way back at the start of season one when Picard and Crusher weren't afraid of getting too close to one another? (I am blatantly ignoring the change to the game plan by TPTB, and am keeping in the spirit of Beverly's character serving as Chief Medical Officer AND Picard's love interest.) Here's how I think it could have played out... COMPLETE.

Set during the Riker wedding at the start of 'Nemesis.' My idea of what should have happened between our illustrious couple before the whole movie went horribly wrong... COMPLETE.

18 months after Nemesis, Jean Luc Picard cannot settle in with his new crew. While on sabbatical his life takes an unexpected turn and he meets up with old friends to outwit an old enemy. Follows TVMovie canon, not novels.

AU PC Sub Rosa, Bloodlines, Journey's End entirely differently. No Ronin, but three very intriguing people that change the lives of Picard and Beverly. Completed.
