This started as a 30-day challenge to post something 1000 words or less every day from a one-word prompt. I extended the challenge to 40 days, and now that I'm in school I find this too much fun to stop completely, and so I will be trying to update every weekend or every other weekend at the very least. Most of them are Legolas - Thranduil centered!

Legolas returns home to Mirkwood but all actions have consequences and can anything ever be as it was? Can he find his way back to himself and rediscover peace.

As the heir to the Elvenking's throne, Legolas has been groomed to be a renowned warrior, combat strategist, and emissary. After the events of the Battle of the Five Armies, Legolas leaves his father and his homeland for the first time harboring a wounded heart mingled with anger and frustration towards his father and his meddlesome tendencies. During the events in the Mines Of Moria, Legolas is gravely wounded trying to protect Frodo from the cave troll. Lothlorien is far and Aragorn fears for his companion's life. Frodo takes Legolas's wounding and Gandalf's death upon himself while Aragorn, knowing the pain regret and guilt can cause, attempts to comfort Frodo and explain that the events in Moria are not his fault.

In and around the magnificent halls of Thranduil's Kingdom, father and son attempt to navigate political intrigue, mortal danger, and each other.
