Hunter — a Walking Dead story

overview

Milaine Rhodes-Marceau

Milaine is a good-natured and adventurous woman. She’s passionate about people and the good they can do and she doesn’t think twice about putting herself in danger if she believes something positive can come from it.

She has a good judge of character and sees the best in everyone. Milaine is very altruistic and always wanted to help people, so she became an emergency nurse.

Milaine also has a sense of optimism. She aims to keep people at ease with her.

pre-apocalypse

Milaine Rhodes-Marceau

Milaine was born on October 1, 1989, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Esther and Vincent Rhodes-Marceau. Her mother was an art historian and her father an insurance salesman, and they have a son, Romain. Her father was French-Canadian and in her childhood, Milaine spoke French as her first language. She was mostly homeschooled, which allowed her to explore innovative and abstract experiences. She shared a close bond with her mother and was a bit extroverted. At a young age, she expressed a desire to help others.

Her parents divorced when she was ten. She had a dysfunctional relationship with her father. Soon after the split, Esther relocated to Macon, Georgia, with her two kids. They had limited financial means and lived in a small apartment.

Milaine would eventually go to college and earn a degree in nursing.

post-apocalypse

Milaine Rhodes-Marceau

At some point after the outbreak, Milaine met siblings Ivy and Tori, Sora, C.J., among other survivors. The group survived for several months, eventually becoming closer and seeing each other as a family. However, as time went by, several members of the group died.

The group resided in a few different communities, all of which fell causing the group’s distrust in rejoining any other settlements.

appearance

Milaine Rhodes-Marceau

Milaine is, typically, fair-skinned with brown eyes and long, dark hair. She’s slender and stands at 5 ft. 5 inches at least.

At some point after the apocalypse, Milaine’s appearance began to change due to a lack of personal hygiene and a lack of proper nutrition. Her skin has tanned considerably due to continual exposure to the sun, as well as having a slightly darker appearance from a build up of dirt, grime, walker blood, etc. Her hair isn’t in good condition either. While she tried to brush it as frequently as possible, there’s some sweat, oil, and whatnot that’s built up. Her eyes are bloodshot and there are bags under them, and she has lost some weight due to not eating enough. When it’s the apocalypse and you’re in a group and food/water is scarce, rationing is important.

weapons

Milaine Rhodes-Marceau

She has a pistol that she wears on a drop leg holster.

She has a hammer and a hunting knife in case she has any close encounters with walkers.

weaknesses

Milaine Rhodes-Marceau

Just like every survivor on the show, Milaine has the walker pathogen. Which means, if she dies in any way that leaves her head intact, she’ll reanimate into a walker.

If Milaine were to get bitten by a walker, especially on an area of her body that isn’t a limb, she’ll get infected and eventually turn. There’s always the option of suicide in that case, like Andrea and Carl did in the show, but I’m on the fence about that.

If Milaine were to get bitten by a walker on any of her limbs, she has to have said limb amputated immediately. But because the amputations are so unprofessional, there’s the risk of blood loss and infection. So yeah, immediate amputation of a walker-bitten limb is very high risk.

Colds and illnesses of any kind can be fatal. Medication is hard to come by and if someone has a cold or an illness or some kind of medical condition that requires constant medication, then that can be fatal not only for the person with the condition, but for the group they’re with, since they’d have to risk a lot to ensure the medication is available.

There’s also mental stability. The apocalypse takes a lot out of a person. It can leave lasting physical and psychological scars. Some of those psychological scars can drive people off the deep end.

Honestly, the list of weaknesses can go on. The apocalypse is full of shit and bad experiences so I’m sure there’s a lot I missed.

additional information

Milaine Rhodes-Marceau

Milaine’s group calls her “Rhodey”.

She lost contact with her family during the early days of the apocalypse. She eventually found her current group and found comfort in them. They taught her how to survive in the new world.

Even though Milaine likes to help people, there’s still a sliver of hesitance in her when it comes to encountering other survivors. Some survivors aren’t who they let on, and she has to be careful.

If anything came off as confusing, don’t hesitate to let me know. You guys can private message (PM) me or leave a review on the story you’re reading, okay? I’ll try and clear it all up as quickly as possible.

As a disclaimer, I own nothing but my OCs and subplots. Everything else belongs to the people who created them. If you’ve got ideas for OCs or subplots, leave a review or PM me. I’ll add them in as soon as possible.

This is usually where I’ll have more in-depth information on my characters, just in case I do a bad job writing them in my stories. I want this to be helpful for you guys, that’s all. Again, let me know if anything comes off as confusing.

See you around.
