![]() Disclaimer: I'm not purposely trying to be a bitch when I critique people's story. I do understand that everyone has different levels of writing, but I have no tolerance for things like: condoning rape, paedophilia and otherwise harmful behaviours (for god's sake, writers, love - or, more aptly, obsession - doesn't justify rape), romanticising stalkers and near-psychopathic levels of manipulation, and especially laziness in writing. When one writes a story, even something as trivial as fanfiction, it isn't just an expression of one's fantasies and dedication to a fandom, it is a reflection of themselves - why would anyone want to come across as lazy and half-assed through their writing? In addition, I cannot stand the childish people that say 'your bitchiness isn't valid because you don't have any stories here'. I do enjoy fanfiction, but I choose not to publish it. I have already published some short stories with the intention of becoming a renowned author, and have tutored those who don't speak English as a first language, as well as helping those who struggled with essays and creative writing. I am, by no means, a pro. I am not saying that my writing is the best, or that anyone's writing that I don't particularly like is automatically shit. What I am saying is that I'm a passionate writer and a literature enthusiast. If people are offended by my honest critiques, they're free to block me. I implore you to do so if that's the case, for I'd rather not deal with petty insults because they've realised that their stories aren't as loved as they thought they were. You don't have to listen to my critique, but I do ask that you try to realise that my comments are meant to help, not anger you (unless you're one of those pro-rape and whatnot writers, lord knows how some of you are still on here). On a lighter note, I love Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and SnK. I'm also a connoisseur of mochi, fluffy blankets and K-pop, despite being a metalhead whose preferred genres are slamming death, grindcore, and technical-progressive/Djent. I want to be a criminal psychologist and researcher, but above all, I would prefer to be a mermaid. |
