Due to the fact that several sites have been mirroring ff net and nothing has been done by ff net, I am removing all of my work from the site. All of the warcraft fic will be put up on Archive of Our Own (ao3) under the name HecatesKiss.

Well, what can I say about myself? Let's start at the beginning of my love with books. The first book I can remember I think was called The Handkerchief. It was about this girl, a dog, and an older gentleman that carried a suitcase. Inside the suitcase was the biggest handkerchief in the wold. It was pink with white poke-a-dots. It was mostly a picture book, over-sized, with good glossy paper and a few words that I finally realized were there when I was probably five or six years old. That book got me into reading. I haven't stopped since.

I love science fiction and fantasy. The first book of it that I read and can outright classify as science fiction has to have been Frank Herbert's Dune. I remember coming across it on the High School library shelf and read the back cover and decided, why not, let's give something new a try. I now have two copies of that book in my home. Its been one of my touchstones for science fiction. I often find myself reaching for it when I have the question of "how'd a master do this?"

For fantasy, I've read much of the Heralds of Valdemar, love the Black Jewels Series, also I am a huge fan of anything by Lilith Saintcrow. I also enjoy Anne McCaffery - anything outside of Pern. Never got into reading Pern, though that seems to be all I can find in a store these days. Thank you for Amazon or B&N online outlet. I've started into the Dragonlance world with Mary H. Herbert's offerings. I like her style. I also have most of Tara K. Harper's work within easy reach as well. I love the genre. It should come as no surprise then that I tend to write with-in the sci fi or fantasy genre when I do attempt to write a piece.

I will use fanfic as an stretching exercise of sorts. Write in a world I know the basics of, while honing my own craft - the ability to find the right word for the situation at hand. I'm starting off a piece in the Valdemar/Velgarth universe, set after the death of Herald Vanyel with a few AU twists. Once I have my outline finished I will be starting the actual story.

And I will close with one final piece of advice... never judge a book by its cover.
