![]() Author has written 3 stories for Ben 10, Labyrinth, and Ouran High School Host Club. Status: Not looking for beta readers. About Me Name: Just call me Rapture. Gender: Female Location: USA. Age: 21 Update as of 1/25/2012: Okay. So as a college student in her final year and working on a creative writing thesis, I have to admit (if it isn't already obvious) that I have been extremely busy. Most of my muse and attention are sucked up by this project and never seen again. Unfortunately, this means that things are going to stay slow for a while. I've been struggling with settling into my own style, and looking back on the two projects I have, I have to wonder if they really reflect what I want. I'm not sure. But for those of you who are expecting or waiting for updates, I really do apologize. Things have just hit a strange spot for me. I'm having trouble finding motivation to do what I love the most. I wonder if it's all the pressure placed on getting this thesis done. But that's not really an excuse. Anyway, I'm working on some things. I can't promise updates to old works, but maybe new ones will come along and be better than they were before. There's always the chance I can find a way to work with what I've already done and kick my muse for both back into gear. For the time being though, it might be a while. Again, thank you for all the support and reviews throughout the (unfortunately) short time I tried to manage two stories. I feel horrible about it. But hopefully, for some, there might be something else you can look forward to soon. I'm planning on rejuvenating a piece of my muse by working on a dark fantasy AU for Ouran Highschool Host Club. As with all my former ideas, this one will start with a solid T rating that will tip into M for possible romance and drama that might ensue. If I still even have any loyal readers interested in my writing, maybe turning to this new project will help you see the direction I want to experiment/toil in and hopefully, it will work. In the meantime, thanks again for all the awesome support! Stories and Such -Blood of a Hybrid- A mildly dark Kevin x Gwen fanfiction written mostly to satisfy myself and my co creator violetflame945, along with any readers who follow up with it. xD At the moment, Blood of a Hybrid is a rated T Fanfic for language and violence, though in the future it could move into M (I will clearly let you guys know, for those of you who wish to avoid stumbling upon very intense scenes, romantic or otherwise, which chapters these are). Really, the success of this fanfic depends very much on the people who read and hopefully, enjoy it. Since I'm new around here, I'm still getting used to the system and how everything works, so you'll have to bear with me as I write up chapters. Blood of a Hybrid is more or a less an AU verse in the Ben 10 series, very much like Ultimate Alien, with plenty of violence, aliens, criminals, heroes and sexual tension thrown in for good measure ( xP ). It should be clear that though things will be very similar to the series, many of the events taking place in this fanfiction did not happen in the show. The primary characters of focus are Kevin and Gwen, and yes, the story will involve romance. -Dreams Of Fae And Scavenger Wings- A new Labyrinth fanfic I want to write. Another mildly dark fic with romance involved. Depending on what the readers want, it could become longer or shorter. Fic is set many years after Sarah's first venture into the labyrinth. Random Junk Something I've noticed lately: what's with flaming young writers? Sure, I can understand that when a story has basic grammar problems and plot issues, we're tempted to leave reviews that point these problems out. In fact, pinning down these problems can help a lot and I encourage people to help each other write better. But I don't think attacking a person (especially a new, very young writer) straight up with a heavy critique filled with no constructive criticism whatsoever is going to help them get better. It's just going to embarrass the hell out of them until they decide it's not worth it to even try (or they'll stubbornly refuse to listen to your advice, thus causing their potential to spiral down the freaking toilet if they don't quit first). Come on guys. Entirely negative reviews don't help people, they make them feel like shit. You know who you are if you're going around and doing this. ._.''' I know you wouldn't like it if the positions were switched and somebody tore your confidence and motivation down like that. I'm always happy when younger writers crop up and love the hobby. Tearing them down before they even begin to learn tricks of the trade is just wrong, what's the point in doing that to someone? |
