When Sherlock Holmes is called to his dying father's bedside, the old man proclaims that Holmes is in grave danger from a supernatural presence. Holmes, of course, believes the old man is senile, until a series of events begins to prove otherwise. It's a case in which the impossible can't be so readily thrown out of the equation.
