"Have to keep it simple and relatively normal...bleh XO"

I constantly read fanfictions, even if I despise reading. For the most part, it's because they're usually entertaining, except for when there are grammatical errors galore, I throw a fit and can't read past the first chapter or paragraph. My favorites to read are Naruto, Inuyasha, and Death Note. On rare occasion, I'll check out Skip Beat. My favorite pairings are as follows:

Naruto (uke) x Sasuke

Neji x Hinata

Sesshoumaru x Rin

Light x L (I'm not sure who I like better as uke)

Ren x Kyoko

When I write fanfiction, I try to keep as much to character as possible. It's entertaining because one of my favorite past times is observing people to figure out their personality, behaviors, instincts and reactions. Fanfiction applies that entertainment to the characters in manga and anime. I analyze the characters, but most of the time, I do end up doing OOC. The stories I think of usually have a plot that doesn't exactly suit the character, neither any possible progression given any king of circumstances, therefore changing the character is my only choice. However, I absolutely hate changing the character because changes enough that the character is no longer of utmost resemblance to their original state gives them then a new entity and in my opinion, they are no longer the character one tries to replicate into another plot. The character is now different and therefore no longer the one people had come to favor, in which I find the whole point of fanfiction to be annulled. How can it be fanfiction if it bears no resemblance to the original fiction one admires or idolizes?
