Peter Parker finally returns home after being on the run for almost a year. He's excited to live in the Avengers compound with his family and heroes, but everyone knows that it's not easy to adjust to a life in the public eye. Peter may think all is well and great, but his guardians know otherwise. Especially when a person from Peter's parents' past makes a return to the city.

"Hey, Parker!" Shit. Twisting his head to see MJ storming towards him from across the cafeteria, Peter turned to Ned with a panicked expression. "Uh…" Ned's face was drained of color. "You forgot, didn't you," he said in a hushed voice. "Oh, God, Peter. You're dead."

"There is no escape for you, Paladin," Haggar whispered, voice echoing from from the very depths of his mind and filling Lance with a horror and dread he could not begin to describe. "Not from this ship. Not from death." She let out a soft laugh that rang with dark promise. "And especially not from me." / In which Zarkon desires the Black Lion and the Blue Paladin pays the price.

Lance gets an infected tooth. The team is lacking in medical tools and cryo-pods as they head towards Earth. This… is not going to be pleasant. / "I've got a few small implements in my tool kit," Hunk offered, a green tinge to his face. "I think… I think one could work as a scalpel. There's a pick too." Lance felt himself pale. Dios. They were going to operate on him with those?

A year ago, Shiro was kidnapped by the strange beings that live beyond the shores of the Altean isles. They plucked his wings and broke his spirit. He escaped and returned home to warn the others, but Lance was still captured. He is rescued from pirates by the mysterious Prince Lotor.

After a case of wrong place, wrong time, Lance falls into Sendak's hands. Sendak, who is somehow still alive and more than happy take this opportunity of revenge for all it is worth against the boy who instigated his downfall. / "Tell me, boy," Sendak dragged Lance up by his hair, twisting it cruelly, "do you have any idea of my suffering?" [Season Five Spoilers] Something is wrong with Shiro. Lance can feel it. He's determined to find answers and returns to the Astral Plane to do so. All is most definitely not as it seems and it's going to be up to Lance to save the day. If, well... he can save himself first. / "Sh-Shiro," he choked out. A dark laugh sounded behind him. "Come now. We both know that's not true."

In the end, being a hero was a lot more dangerous than it was fun. And Ned Leeds sadly learned that lesson from his friend Peter Parker.
