![]() Gender: Male Location: USA Religion: Christian I love anime, plain and simple. Manga and visual novels are also enjoyed. Usually I'm not too picky on what kind of anime/manga/game that I am playing, but storyline is a must in all cases. I prefer to have a male lead on which the story focuses around, but that is easy to ignore as long as the story itself is worthwhile. As any guy, fanservice and such are enjoyable, but not required, and too much of it can easily cause a great story to become worthless. There are actually too many animes that I like to list, but generically they are shonen based. The stories are also fun to disect and break down, seeing the key points in it reviewing it. On to my preferences on fanfictions. My favorite would most definitely be Naruto, since there is so much in it that is worth writing about... actually, more like there is so much worth changing to make it worthwhile. Some others I like to read would probably be Hikaru no Go, Love Hina, and Fate/Stay Night, but only if they are well written. I also like crossovers, as long as they aren't overdone and can be enjoyed by the majority of the community (in other words, something that many people know of, or should know of _ ). ~Begin Rant~ I personally have a great dislike for the actual Naruto story, despite my great attraction to the fanfictions revolving around it. The author visibally wrote the story as he went, changing facts previously established, extending the storyline with baseless ideas and 'facts,' (the story stated the fourth's name, and then they revealed another one later on, for one) and the blatent fact that it revolves around Sasuke. Another cause for my great dislike of the story would be the COMPLETE lack of logic within like... everyone in the story? If even the stupidest (no offense to those reading this) of people out there can figure out that Naruto is the fourth's son, then why can't they? I do not hold many of the characters in high regard and I believe that while fanfictions should keeps them somewhat similar to the manga, I think that they also need to be drastically altered. I never understood where everone thought up the whole 'the villagers beat up Naruto' gig. It would be slightly understandable if it were the drunks did that, but even that wouldn't occur often. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they had at least the remotest restraint... especially when it would involve their life. The story itself even showed that Naruto was hated and glared at, BUT HE GLARED BACK! That did change, but he didn't hide it, he didn't act happy, and he definitely did not get beat up for revenge/fun. In addition, I see too many people go on about 'Kyuubi teaching him techniques' thing, it makes no sense. Why would he teach Naruto in the first place? Actually, HOW WOULD HE KNOW THEM? The bs on 'human-form' Kyuubi is completely pointless too, almost as bad as the 'Kyuubi is female' idea. The fact is, Kyuubi is male based off of what is known, and he is evil. Pure and utterly evil. Sure there may have been an alternate reason for attacking Konoha, but he is a demon, why would he be nice? Then again, the 'send Naruto back in time' usually is baseless (no offense Beboots), cause if the Kyuubi could have done that, he would have gone back before he destroyed Konoha to make sure he wouldn't be sealed that time around. If you want a GOOD idea on how to use time travel, check out Beboot's story that's in the works: Rise of the Jinchuuriki. People also may say that the people in the story aren't assholes, but I say they are. His teachers haven't teached him jack squat, despite the fact that he should be the strongest being in creation right now. Well that is debatable, due to the author's lack of following through (I mean really... bijuu are the strongest demons, capable of destroying whole villages. The Kyuubi for example killed off how many nins before he was SEALED? That barely even worked... and yet we now have pairs of two taking them out left and right? Complete bullshit). His nigh unlimited chakra reserves already make him a threat. He would be the best ninja if he was taught well. He learned the Kage Bunshin in a span of a couple of hours despite his suckiness at the time, and not to mention, give him a skill that could just be pumped with chakra and he could take out villages in one attack. On another note, I loathe Sasuke. he turned god-mode on within those three years... seriously. Naruto sucks balls, but as someone else has pointed out, Sasuke could kill him with said balls. I still am confused on how he learned the nature manipulation that Naruto spent years on (Kage Bunshin were obviously later given those properties to speed up Naruto's training and to make him a tiny bit more presentable... though it's odd he didn't figure that out in the past like what, 5 years he used it?). That's only a little on what I have to complain on, but if anyone would like to argue against me against my views on characters, ways to write fanfictions, or the storyline, feel free. I will just continue to argue back until you are convinced, I am convinced, or become completely fed up with you. ~End Rant~ I've been thinking of writing my own story, but still haven't decided whether or not to proceed with it. I think that I have a lot of ideas that could be worked with, including many crossovers. One of my favorite ideas that I keep drifting back to would be the idea of a Tales of Symphonia crossover with Naruto. I love Synica's story: "Two Worlds, Two Ninja." However, my story wouldn't have Naruto being thrown into the Tales realm, but rather have that as a past, since there are many things that could correspond within the two stories. Sadly, kinks are still being worked out in the idea and the thought of writing all that is making me procrastinate in starting it. Other than that, I'm in high school, just to give out a general idea of how old I am, I won't go into the specific age for confidentiality reasons. I also attend an all boys school, thus I am one of the people who have taken the ideals of computer geeks not associating with females to a whole new level. Sadly, there isn't much of my 'real-life' (if you could even call it that) to talk about. Btw: Play Billy Vs. Snakeman - |
