Starting right after the four last words and stretching on over a year, this au is a continuation of Harvest Moon and Trouble so you might enjoy this more if you read those first, but if not: Spoiler: Rory and Jess are having a baby.

Soon Rory sees that there's more to Jess than she realized, and it isn't long before their unlikely friendship heats up.

Single. Pregnant. Jobless. To Rory, things can't get much worse. But when Jess admits that they'd had a drunken encounter and the baby might be his, Rory is floored. She's just coming to terms with the fact that she still has feelings for him, and now this? No matter what, Rory is determined to do the best she can for her baby.

Takes place before, and would derail some of the events of, the revival. Rory drives to Luke's fishing cabin for some time alone after Richard's death. Only she's not alone. When she arrives she finds Jess there, fixing the place up for Luke.

Post-revival, and written immediately after my first viewing in 2016, the desperation for a literati endgame tangible. It was meant as a one-shot, but grew to five fairly independent chapters (in the correct order unlike on Ao3 ;)

Rory is delayed in getting home for the weekend of the Firelight Festival, and Luke is being even more stubborn than usual, leaving Lorelai with a big decision - does she really hate Jess enough to let him freeze to death in his car? The choice she makes could change everything.

Rory got done with Yale, and went out into the world to be a journalist. Jess turned The Subsect into a success and then wrote another highly successful novel. Now she's going to interview him for the paper she works for, but here's the twist, in this story, Rory and Jess have never met before... until now.

It was stupid. She knew after all these years, it was stupid. Using her only free afternoon in town to sit on a park bench, eat a stupid hot dog, and hope. Literati set well after the series.

You tell yourself that it would never happen to you. That you're smart enough to know better than to do something so stupid. You hear about it happening but you never for a second think you would be one of those it would happen to. Jess went to Vegas for work, Rory went to spend the weekend with Paris in Vegas.

Alternate Universe. Literati. Now in their early 30s, as Jess and Rory juggle careers and expectations, they find that their friendship has been the one constant in their lives.

Driving through the night she realized one thing. She'd gone crazy. All over one stupid egg roll. With no where in mind to go he walked into a café. Paying for his coffee he looked around spotting a brunette. She still had his heart. He couldn't just show up in her life, not again. Seeing the man she never fell out of love with and that alone scared her.

In a perfect world, Rory wouldn't have forgiven Logan for cheating, Luke wouldn't have let April get in the way of his relationship with Lorelai, and Jess & Rory wouldn't have parted ways so easily that night at Truncheon. This story is set in that perfect world. (AU late Season 6 in which all the problems get fixed - Literati, JavaJunkie, and happy family times!)

A somewhat different history...just how different, I don't know yet.

There is a sudden whirring from behind her, one that makes both of them jump, and the tape player begins to play in a strangled, broken way. There is a light and it never goes out. She closes her eyes, and the way she is illuminated by the moonlight makes him realise that he finally understands what Morrissey means.

Now that Rory and Jess have... well, you know, it's time to talk logistics. And groupies. It's probably best to avoid the whole 'cousins-by-marriage' thing, though. One of my interconnecting one-shots.
