![]() Author has written 9 stories for Stargate: SG-1, and Stargate: Atlantis. Greetings! If you're here, that probably means you want to know something about this person known as SpecialAgentJim. Am I right? Well, if you truly want to know, here are some bits and bobs about me: AKA online: SapphireRose, AgentJim In real life, I'm a lawyer with a serious caffeine habit, a love of all things science-fiction, and a practically insatiable appetite for pizza. I enjoy singing, acting, writing and photography. I am the proud "mama" to a beautiful Boston Terrier named Grace and "auntie" to Kiah and Abby (also Boston Terriers). I'm a self-confessed news junkie, and I actually enjoy NewsWorld, CNN, and the Canadian Parliamentary Channel. I also like CourtTV. Currently, I have a blog and I also write fanfic as well as mainstream fiction. I'd say writing is more of a lifelong passion than a hobby for me. I discovered creative writing when I was about seven or eight years old, and I always used to make up stories. I've been writing seriously for about the past eleven years, and I have two completed novels, which are currently in the editing stages. I just started writing fan fiction in 2006, so I guess you could say I'm relatively new at fanfic (though I'm not a newbie at the writing game!). I've been reading fan fiction a lot longer than I've been writing it. I like OCs and I don't mind a MarySue here and there on occasion. I sometimes read slash but never write it. I generally don't write crossovers, though I've been known to read (and enjoy) them sometimes. My favourite fandoms to read are: Star Trek (all versions At the moment I am only writing in the Stargate universe, though I want to try my hand at a Sapphire and Steel fic soon, as well as a Doctor Who piece. If I get brave, maybe I'll try some Trek fic. Star Trek is a bit of a sacred object with me, so I'm reluctant to mess about with the characters. Silly, I know, but there it is. Anyway, thanks for reading my profile! Have a nice day! Live long and prosper, |
