The story picks up where 'Follow the MacGuffin' leaves off. Somebody is trying to kill Veronica, but why? Could it be one of the perps from an old FBI case she worked on, the Russian billionaire with a grudge against her, Logan's creepy stalker, or somebody else from her past who isn't even on her radar? After a botched FBI case sends Veronica scrambling back to Neptune, she decides to lick her wounds while working at Mars Investigations. What starts out as a simple cheating spouse case for one of the city's most notorious residents, quickly goes awry and triggers a series of events that unravel a twisted plot leading her to the last person she'd expect to find. Adventure! LoVe!

This is how I envisioned season 4. It picks up right where the finale left off. Veronica has to deal with everything from lost love, to secret societies. From mob bosses to old biker gangs. From disappointment to absolute realization; all with her usual charm and sarcasm. Old characters return, while current characters might just take off for good.

This is my attempt at a Season 4 with a return of the fugitive Duncan. Veronica is trying to make it work with Piz inspite of her misgivings. Logan is trying to be the man she deserves. How will Veronica manage the three men in her life?

Veronica is coming back to Neptune, the town she was forced to leave fifteen years beforehand. Her family and friends haven't heard from her in all that time. But what does Lucas Matthews have to do with all this?
