Author has written 7 stories for Inuyasha, Escaflowne, Spirited Away, Bleach, and Fullmetal Alchemist. 28.01.2016: Back after long, but necessary, hiatus. The plot bunny has bitten me again and I've also acquired a new fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist. Hence, the new short story which may or may be expanded in the future. I have also resumed working on "Colours", chapter 1. Found my old notes and am revising / re-writing bit by bit at a time. New plot is not much different, but starts out on a far more plausible premise. It also clears the issue of a glaring consistency mistake I made back when I began writing the story. Several new inconsistencies in following chapter will need to be fixed; I'll take care of that bit by bit after I'm done with the first few chapters. After re-writing Colours will be concluded with an epilogue of sorts. Feel free to contact me by PM or my Livejournal account (see below). If you'd like to beta read for me, drop me a line as well: I'll be the happiest creature on Earth and you'll have to bear my immense gratefulness. Thank you and see you later. Profile: The akarii, common name 'akari', belongs to the family of recluses that has become known more specifically as fanfiction authors. It usually dwells in manga universes of a wild mixture of several fandoms. That's just the way the akarii is, because it abhors conformity above anything else. Its writing activities tend to bring out the bad side of the akarii; it has been known to swear, curse and bug fellow fanauthors with its rants on unreliable muses and various other aspects of fanfiction-writing. Its continuous battle against its enemy, the English language, and its finickiness - the akarii generally triple-and quadruple-checks its texts and still finds instances of imperfection - prevent it from making any real progress with its fics - a fact much bemoaned by the readers of its fanfiction. In reverse, the akarii is not very picky about the series when it comes to reading, because what it values most in fanfics are good grammar, spelling, characterization and particularly an original plot. It has been spotted spurning generally admired BNF when it found their fics lacking in some aspect or other and had no qualms leaving the IYFanGuild after deciding that it didn't do anything to maintain the high quality level it had been laying claim to. Currently the akarii is looking for other ways to communicate with authors; its traces can be found around the internet sites it frequents, in the review sections of several fanfiction archives or on its LJ, where it posts writing essays and plans a writing tutorial. The akarii lives in Europe, in a small dump in the wild West of Germany. It is a shy, non-social type of animal that likes to hole up in its dwelling to listen to music, read, write or play. Although the akarii in general is a withdrawn kind of creature, it may be lured out of its cave with chocolate, its Mom's homemade pizza or at the request of close friends, of which the akarii has a few select ones, but not many. It dislikes the usual gathering places other species of its breed frequent. Before trying to domesticate the akarii, potential associates should be aware that an akarii prefers rather unusual pastimes like jogging, playing board games, making music and cooking and is thus a bit tricky to spend time with. However, once the akarii has been tamed it will turn out to be a challenging, but very loyal and droll companion that amuses everybody with its antics. It likes being talked to and will often reply, even if it has been attacked or insulted. In the latter case the answer will most likely be acidic, as the akarii often enjoys a good banter. In any other case, however, the akarii is not dangerous at all; it will be sympathetic and try to help if it can. The akarii is a typical procrastinator. You can meet it at its LiveJournal for prodding; it will in all probability respond with a flurry of activity. |
