Retired lady living in Australia, I was a member of TARS for many years and grew up "in the real world" as Nancy would say, with Swallows Amazons. With my children we visited the lakes a decade ago, staying at Holly Howe and, with the help of a local member and his kayaks, went to Wild Cat Island, our sacred spot, thankfully free of natives. I do creative writing, and am in the middle of a number of books at the moment. Maybe one day I'll write an SA fanfic of my own. |
