![]() Author has written 2 stories for Hunger Games. I'm Rydinghood because, to quote my cousin, "a profile name should be unique, not just something with a bunch of numbers after it" - which is why she goes by Nomnomcookie on Deviantart (check her work out, it's amazing!). I have always been a voracious reader, however I've found that most of my favorite stories have broad universes that leave too many questions. I always prefer working through the details of everything - even story-verses, so my Fanfiction writing is my chance to add my ideas to the millions out there, clamoring for attention. Be forewarned I'm an adventure person so all of the stories I read have to have lots of action. For example, I love the Harry Potter series (though I'm not a fan of Harry Potter spinoffs and fanfics), the Fablehaven series, The Hunger Games trilogy, Maximum Ride, Redwall, Warriors, and many others that would take pages to list. I love reading as long as the story is interesting (read: fast paced and action packed) and I'm not being forced to read. My favorite TWO genres are Sci-fi and fantasy because Sci-fi is fiction now but it could be true later, while Fantasy shows us what we only dream could be. While we have no scientific knowledge of anything in these genres being even remotely possible, many past books have come true (look at the technology in Fahrenheit 451 sometime). These dreams are wishful thinking right now, but who knows what we may find or make possible in the future? Right now we have wishes and dreams - dreams that can be universally expressed by stories of any medium. Albeit, these aren't exactly 'your-crush-admitting-his-love-for-you-and-dumping-his-girlfriend' type dreams, these are the dreams where there are super powers and magic and mystical creatures/beings. I mean, c'mon, who hasn't dreampt of being able to do extraordinary feats? Flying, anyone? |
