Fanfiction - The thing that attracts me to it is the ability to imagine anything out of the given canon and make your own story that in a way is both original and extends further the canon. What exactly is canon? That which is approved by the author and published "officially" by them. But when out in the public and in the hands of the readers or viewers, it becomes as much as theirs, because the time and energy(not to mention money) that one invests in it, amounts some form of stake in it. Thus each and everyone of us has as much right to extend the canon, reboot it or set it in a completely new alternative universe only keeping the core theme. But here's the catch! We can only do this within ourselves, in a community full of like-minded people, who would like to run their imaginations, share their own stories, put their own twists and enjoy this bliss called as fanfiction.

With that, I am Max Tiger, an alias I use for writing. Basically it is my alter-ego that I always wanted to be, but am not. But that's good, coz I know how special I am and how important it is to accept one as they are! I am from India, the hub of spirituality and ancient science, as I like to call it. My foray into anime started with animax that used to show some amazing animes that I will never forget. The most haunting one I have seen till now is 'Captain Herlock' - it's a masterpiece. The one that touched my heart and broke it at the same time was 'Twin Spica'. The most innocent, romantic and heart-warming anime I have seen till now is UFO baby. Man! what an anime that was. Lately I have been detached from anime and gone into manga - I loved Katekyo Hitman Reborn(had a very lame ending though), Bleach is just extending it's life for a year or so(It should have ended at the Aizen arc_), and fairytail is well a no-brainer shounen, ecchi for a good laugh and fun(I love Erza!). Though the anime that I am watching actively right now is Detective Conan. This is one seriously addictive anime, not to mention the cute romance and many funny moments. And of course the crime solving. The crime plots are imaginative but the way they are solved is questionable. Some of them were well solved and some of were obvious from the start. And after a while, it gets redundant, but thanks to the budding romance between Shinichi and Ran, it saves the day.

Though I do like to write stories, I have failed to publish at least one story completely and one that i started like 4 years ago(I know :\ ) is incomplete. I guess I might reboot it or scratch it completely. I am working on a Natsu x Lisanna story coz let's face it, I am sick of NaLu, simply bcoz they are not a good match for each other. The one that matches Lucy perfectly is Loki and somewhere nearby is Gray. Still for some reason people like to pair these two for no apparent reason. But then again this is a fanfiction website, and it's a free world, so yeah. And I guess Hiro Mashimo has officially given us these pairings - Erza x Jellal, Elfman x Evergreen, Bisca x Alzack. And i GUESS he is hinting towards - Laxus x Mira, Gray X Ultear, though many people consider Gray x Juvia as a canon. But i think not, Juvia is more suited for Leo. As for Laxus x Mira, they are made for each other. What I am interested is to see how Mashimo plays this out, if he even takes this pairing seriously.

As for Natsu, in the flashbacks, it was clearly Natsu x Lisanna, now for some reason he is keeping Natsu away from her, and frankly Lisanna has almost zero screen time except in last few chapters. And when they were brought together, they were ... naked! Have to give it to Mashimo to be absolutely pervert. But I think Hiro is deliberately doing this, simply because Natsu is the main character, many fans want to ship with him with their own favs and making this canon or atleast going down this path is gonna upset them. This is a major issue for all manga authors, or in general any author of any romantic content. I say, choose one and go strong with it. At least the author should feel natural about it, and not forced for fan-service.

I know all this talk has been informal and very random, but next time I will keep it less random but more informal :P
