This was a challenge I set myself to write about Athelstan's feelings in 1000 – 1500 words. It came out sounding shippier than I meant for it to, but you can't write about Athelstan's feelings about Vikings without writing about Ragnar, and even the show has shippy moments. So it can be read as Ragnar/Athelstan if you want it to be, but it's not necessarily meant that way. ONE-SHOT

Enjolras was furious, and Grantaire was panicking.

Ragnar dies and goes to Valhalla but he can not enter because he has unfinished business and his soul is sent back to earth until he can find what is keeping him there. Centuries pass and he thinks he's finally found what he's been looking for after seeing a boy who looks a lot like Athelstan. Modern AU.

What was Athelstan's life like before he became a priest and why does he always keep his arms covered. Ragnar wants to know but Athelstan won't tell, so he takes some extreme methods to find out and when he does all hell breaks loose.

Athelstan has made a very bad mistake and now Ragnar must punish him for it, as well as teach him a few new things.

When Enjolras's end of the year rally lands him in the hospital on New Year's Eve, Grantaire decides to surprise him with their own holiday celebration to cheer him up. (Modern AU)

Grantaire and Enjolras get in a fight, and the drunkard runs off, Courfeyrac and Jehan running after him. After their friends get onto Enjolras, he runs after his best friend, ashamed and concerned. Grantaire prepares to take his own life.

Grantaire had known all of love's senses for a long time. He had learned them over time. Enjolras learned them in an instant.

Enjolras finally did it, broke Grantaire. Those words that he had told him, wouldn't mean a thing if anyone else had said it, so what will Grantaire do now he's broken?

Modern AU. After Grantaire comes home drunk one night and almost rapes Enjolras, he has a choice to make, Enjolras, or alcohol. Giving up something he's relied on for so many years is harder than it sounds. The only question is, will Enjolras still be there for Grantaire at the end of it? The warnings are quite obvious. Drug abuse, reference to rape, sort of ooc.

The night before the revolution, Enjolras finds Grantaire drinking alone. Slightly OOC, Enjolras/Grantaire.

AU - Modern/University. Enjolras and Grantaire have a routine every Friday. Enjolras will write his papers while Grantaire will go out, get drunk and turn up at Enjolras' flat early in the morning incredibly trashed. (ExR/EnjolrasxGrantaire).
